Family of specialist doctor in Sabah probing the real cause of her suicide

00:05You know, recently there's a doctor, specialist, by the name of this Dr Tay Tien Yap,

00:12mysteriously died.

00:15And later, they claim that she committed suicide.

00:20It was a shock news to us, and especially to our parents.

00:25We found something from our sisters on WhatsApp conversations.

00:29So from there, we found...

00:32Basically, she did some complaints about her workload,

00:37and how she was being treated in the hospital.

00:42And she complained a lot about her work since the early of August.

00:47Well, we cannot imagine just within one month,

00:50and how many things that she needed to be done.

00:53We heard that she worked from morning 8 something until the late night,

00:58maybe 11, 12, and even 1 something.

01:02I think that this working hour is quite long to a normal doctor.

01:06We will be eventually, or rather we are acting for the family,

01:11on this very sad situation of grief that we have received.

01:16We are going through the evidence now.

01:18We've gone through part of it,

01:20and we are still accumulating more evidence,

01:23as it's been just that they finished their bereavement period

01:28of the funeral and things like that.

01:31We're not going to leave any stones unturned here.

01:43to get to the bottom of this.

01:45This very young specialist, you know, at such a young age,

01:50taking her life like this is a very sad state of affairs.

02:05for this young girl's miserable death,

02:09we will come by the book, by the law,

02:12and the rule of law will take effect,
