00:09Texas Tech. Now we did see Texas Tech in control in that first quarter grabbing

00:1310 points holding Iowa State to just a field goal but then Iowa State made some

00:17course corrections there had a much stronger second quarter carrying through

00:20but this game went neck-and-neck all the way till the end obviously with this 23

00:25to 22 score indication. So what do we pull away from this one? A big head

00:31scratcher for me. I admit I did not see this one coming.

00:35Texas Tech has not been playing well. Barron Morton their quarterback played

00:41today but was not at a hundred percent. The defense was horrible in the month of

00:46October. I thought Iowa State with their depth in the backfield, their depth at

00:52wide receiver, their defense in general. Casey that's secondary which a lot of

00:57folks don't know. Number one in the country heading into this weekend and

01:01pass efficiency defense. They've always done a good job of developing defensive

01:06backs. This year no different. They're very good in underclassmen. They have a

01:11ton of veterans as well. They just could not put it together. There were a few

01:16drives late in which I think the weather got in the way for Rocco Becht. Heavy

01:20rain. Actually heavy rain throughout the Plains. We had a lot of delays in the

01:24state of Texas in games. But Iowa State was very wet. It was very slick. It was

01:29slick for both teams obviously. But they could not make stops at the end. The MVP

01:35for me Texas Tech running back Taj Brooks. He is often the MVP for that team.

01:40But considering where these teams were heading into today. This game was in Ames

01:45Iowa. Did not see Texas Tech pulling the upset. So Iowa State now with their first

01:51loss. But not everything is lost because they're still very much in the big 12

01:56race. And if you win your conference now in the age of a 12 team playoff you're

02:01gonna get one of those automatic bowl bids. And not just get a bid but you're

02:05gonna get a buy in the first round as well. Yeah definitely.
