‘It’s more than inflation ever year!’: People of London on train fare increases

We ask the people of London about train fare increases, after it was announced they will increase by 4%.

00:13you're using it and isn't it marvellous? But surely the economics would be if you stopped travelling

00:23we going to do? Well you're quite happy when people were travelling but surely you should

00:28have some sort of plan for people when people stop travelling. What I think is more dangerous

00:33is that they're, they're reducing the amount of staff and therefore if you're reduced to machines

00:40you can't get the discounts. They say they invest the money, well just, you know, don't have as much

00:46if that's, if that's what you're worried about, but no it's like a lot of people are travelling,

00:50oh we can charge, not many, as many people are travelling, oh we can charge, I don't really

00:54understand the logic of it, but it is more than inflation every year though.
