What is the weather forecast for Election Day across the US?

Some areas of the country will see potentially disruptive storms on Election Day, while others will be unseasonably warm. AccuWeather's Geoff Cornish breaks down the details.

00:00Well, Election Day is almost upon us here this Tuesday.

00:05Let's take a look at some forecasts, a big picture forecast.

00:08There will be some thunderstorms that linger into the morning hours and a few storms that

00:11pop up into the afternoon in the lower Mississippi Valley.

00:14Looking at the nation as a whole though, some of the most disruptive weather will be in

00:18the lower Mississippi Valley and we'll also have slightly less populated areas here, some

00:22northern Rockies and central Rockies, snow building in as well.

00:26Eventually, this will sneak into Denver too.

00:29But again, we'll be watching the timing of it here.

00:32We're going to get into some details, especially focusing on some swing states.

00:36Here you can see into areas around Arizona, we're running a little cool here, but generally

00:41dry in these areas.

00:42Temps just a bit below average.

00:44Into Nevada, similar theme to no surprise here being in the southwest, look how cool

00:48Elko is, 44.

00:49Your average high is 57, so about 13 degrees below normal.

00:53But with dry weather, I don't think many will have a difficult time getting out to the polls

00:57here in most of Nevada.

00:58As we take a big step to the east, we're going to go from the southwest to the north

01:02central into Pennsylvania and then into a couple of southeastern swing states.

01:06Wisconsin forecast here, showers and some thunderstorms here.

01:09We're going to have some wet weather and we're warm in these areas compared to average.

01:13Now, Eau Claire, not too far from the norm, but look at Madison, 16 degrees above average

01:18here, 15 above into Milwaukee.

01:20The cooler air is reaching the northwestern part of the state earliest.

01:23One more step east into Michigan, we've got some showers here on Election Day and temperatures

01:27way above average, 20 degrees above the norm in Grand Rapids.

01:31No snowflakes to be found.

01:32This is certainly more like a September shower setup.

01:36Into Pennsylvania, here we have very warm weather, near record warmth in some spots,

01:4082 on Election Day in Pittsburgh.

01:42Very warm west of the mountains, but even east of the mountains we're running very warm.

01:45And into Georgia, we have some showers in Augusta and Savannah, nothing as disruptive

01:50near the coast.

01:51Into Florida, a few showers in Miami and Jacksonville.
