00:00Political analysts view the newly elected Persatu Supreme Council

00:05as balanced and capable of reinvigorating the party

00:08after a series of moral and electoral defeats.

00:13Azmi Hassan of Academy Nusantara said the poll's outcome

00:16is a win-win compromise for the warring factions

00:19supporting Hamzah Zainuddin and Azmin Ali.

00:22He said while both Azmin and Hamzah have their own men in the Supreme Council,

00:27no camp can claim to control it.

00:30However, Azmi said Azmin's camp may be handicapped

00:33as he holds no position within the party.

00:37Azmi also said it was very odd that the 20-member Supreme Council

00:41includes no women,

00:42warning that this could affect Persatu's support.

00:46Meanwhile, Mazlan Ali of University Technology Malaysia

00:49said most of the 20 leaders elected were MPs or Assemblymen,

00:53which boosts the council's prominence

00:54and bolsters the party in preparation for the next general election.

00:59He said the elected leaders are spot on

01:01and capable of playing important roles

01:04due to their significant influence in the community.
