Leeds’ richest people have been named in a new list featuring aviation innovators and luxury jewellers. The city’s top tycoons are detailed in Insider Media’s Yorkshire Rich List 2024.

00:15Jet2 founder Philip Meeson, who transformed a small freight business into what is now

00:20the UK's third largest airline.

00:23Rising profits have helped Jet2 shares gain altitude over the past year, and the Meeson

00:27holdings are now worth £600.9 million.

00:31Alongside him are the Caddick family, who have shaped skylines across the country with

00:36their ambitious construction projects by Moda Living.

00:39This year's list also features the Waltons, the family that own the jewellery chain Berries.

00:44For the purposes of the list, the rich include those who are working in a business they either

00:48started themselves or inherited.

00:50Also included are those still living in the area who have recently sold their main businesses

00:54but retain interests in other ventures.
