High temperatures expected for south-east

Heat for south-east Australia, storms for Queensland and parts of Western Australia.

00:00Hello, Sarah from the Bureau with your national weather forecast for tomorrow,

00:03that's Thursday the 21st of November. So we'll start off by taking a look at tomorrow's weather

00:08map and here we have that rain band with embedded thunderstorms. It's been impacting WA over the

00:14last couple of days but it's finally becoming mobile and that's thanks to this cold front here

00:19that will sweep across southern parts of WA. Now it's also going to be pushing heat into eastern

00:26parts of the country and tomorrow will actually mark the first day of a hot spell for the far

00:31southeast. While for Queensland there's still an inland trough bringing unstable conditions there

00:37but our focus will be on a coastal trough developing off the central coast bringing a

00:42peak in rainfall about the east coast of Queensland tomorrow. So we'll zoom in for

00:47that system here, here we have it Queensland with isolated to scattered showers forecast right

00:52across the state and even the risk of storms apart from in the southeast. Now showers and

00:58rain areas will be widespread extending from Cairns all the way down to the southeast coast

01:05and heavy falls are possible about the central coast in the Capricornia. Now we do have a

01:11separate severe weather video with regards to this deepening coastal trough so if you're

01:15interested in more information then you can head to the Bureau website. For Brisbane we're

01:20forecasting a partly cloudy day with a shower or two and a top of 24 degrees. New South Wales will

01:27see isolated showers about the north and also about the east coast and adjacent ranges tending

01:34more scattered in the far northeast. As we move inland however dry and mostly sunny conditions

01:40with warm daytime temperatures grading to cooler as we move into the northeast it will be underneath

01:46that cloud cover. For Sydney a partly cloudy day with a slight risk of a shower top of 25 degrees.

01:53For Canberra partly cloudy day chance of a shower a top of 27. Now Victoria will have a warm and

02:02sunny day with daytime temperatures between 6 to 10 degrees above the November average

02:07through western and central parts with afternoon coastal sea breezes. For Melbourne a mostly sunny

02:13day and 29 degrees. Tasmania will also have a dry and sunny day with daytime temperatures between

02:212 to 6 degrees above the November average. Hobart mostly sunny and 22. Up towards South Australia

02:29dry and sunny across the majority however out towards that western border there is the chance

02:34of a late shower or storm. The daytime temperatures well above average as well and they'll elevate

02:41fire dangers particularly about that southwest coast as those northerly winds start to increase

02:47throughout the day. For Adelaide mostly sunny and a top of 34 degrees. Now for WA we've got that

02:54rain band with widespread showers and storms east of that trough line. Now these storms that form

03:01through there may be severe with heavy rainfall or damaging winds but we're also forecasting

03:07showers and storms associated with that cold front through southern parts as it sweeps across.

03:13For Perth a shower or two clearing later in the day a top of 24 degrees. Now for the tropical north

03:20we've got those scattered showers and storms again really typical for that time of year.

03:25Darwin showers and the risk of a thunderstorm a top of 33 degrees. So if you are wanting to know
