In Part 1 of the King of Soca, we took you down memory lane, giving you a taste of Machel Montano's 'Old School' hits. Well, tonight in part 2, his 'New School' hits take center stage.

00:00Marshall Montano is one of the most prominent and influential figures in Trinidad and Tobago.
00:11He is particularly known for his contributions to soca music.
00:15His career spans over three decades and he has been a central figure in the evolution of the
00:19genre. Hundreds of songs and dozens of albums, his extensive catalogue dates all the way back
00:25to the 1980s. His catalogue, filled with iconic hits and timeless carnival anthems,
00:30often features themes of celebration, culture, and the carnival spirit.
00:35Every year, Marshall found a way to pump out hit after hit, packaging into a long list of albums.
