Sewage bubbles up in Sheffield street brought on by Storm Bert

This is the spot in Ashfurlong Road in Dore, Sheffield, that has been trickling with sewage for over 6 months - and is now shown to bubble in bad weather, like in Storm Bert this weekend.

00:00This is a bubbling stream that's coming out of a road in Ashfur-Long Road in Dorr.

00:05This might not seem like anything but what you're actually looking at here is bubbling

00:09sewage.

00:11So here's the spot from a different angle that I filmed last week in better weather.

00:16This is Ashfur-Long Road where a steady stream of really foul smelling water has been running

00:21for the best part of over six months.

00:23Residents have spoken to the staff saying that they can't sit out in their gardens,

00:27they have to pick up their dogs and carry over it, that they have to drive through it

00:31to get into their homes which tracks it onto their drive which is just foul smelling.

00:35And as you can see here in really bad weather like we've seen this week, it's made so

00:39much worse.

00:41The Star has contacted Yorkshire Water and the City Council for further comment.
