00:05Here is a daily bulletin. The Met Office issued yellow weather warning for heavy and persistent

00:10snow in your area. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for northwest England

00:16including Blackburn with Darwin, Blackpool, Cumbria, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

00:23Forecasting heavy and persistent snow across the region which may bring disruption on Wednesday

00:29during both the day and the night. The extreme conditions which are forecast for 9am on

00:34Wednesday January 1st and 3am on Thursday January 2nd could cause power cuts and interference to

00:40other services such as phone coverage, travel delays on roads, cancelled rail or air travel

00:45and could result in some rural communities being cut off. Lancashire Police appeal after a man in

00:51his 80s suffered serious injuries in road collision. Lancashire Police are appealing

00:56for witnesses and footage after a man suffered serious injuries in a collision. The collision

01:03occurred in Pilling on December 28th in which a man suffered serious injuries. Officers were called

01:09at 10.13am on December 28th to Lancaster Road at the junction with Taylors Lane in Pilling following

01:14reports of a road traffic collision. When they attended they found that a Jaguar X-type car had

01:19left the road and collided with a workshop building. Severe disruption expected on the

01:24Lancashire Rail line after a Christmas theft of £100,000 power cables. Severe disruption is

01:30expected on one of Lancashire's busiest rail lines after power cables worth £100,000 were stolen over

01:35Christmas. Network Rail has warned passengers to be prepared for delays to services travelling

01:41between Chorley and Bolton throughout Sunday following the theft, with the rail operator

01:45forced to close the line in order to replace the cables and carry out tests on the system before

01:50reopening. Retrained suppressed and also impacted Network Rail says they are working with local

01:56police to find the culprits who have stolen cables having previously provided electrical power to the

02:01new overhead line equipment installed as part of the new electrification of the line between Wigan
