Western Australia authorities recover more of the wreckage off Rottnest Island

Authorities have recovered plane wreckage from Rottnest Island's Thompson Bay. The seaplane crashed on Tuesday killing three people including the pilot four other passengers survived.

00:17to be hit by a strong wind as it was trying to take off. The plane has been lifted out

00:22of the water by crane near Thompson Bay this morning. It was a delicate operation, with

00:28special care being taken to ensure it didn't break apart. There were concerns about fuels

00:33and oils on board, which could cause environmental harm. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau

00:39says information will be gathered from mobile phones and witnesses as part of its investigation.

00:44There could be early findings in two months.
