Rain and snow return to the Pacific Northwest

Another atmospheric river is on the way to the West Coast.

00:00taking a look at radar. We're seeing some scattered rain and snow showers

00:04moving through Arizona and moving through New Mexico up into Colorado a

00:08little bit too. But this really becomes more of a story for Colorado as we head

00:12into tomorrow with Denver picking up some accumulating snow. Take a look at

00:16future radar and kind of how this plays out. This is what I mean when I say

00:19this really becomes more of a story for Denver come tomorrow. We see more of

00:23that kind of widespread snow as we go throughout the day, but things stay

00:26relatively scattered throughout the next couple of hours. And as soon as

00:30that moves out, our next storm moves in off the coast there. Let's talk about

00:34Denver first, though, 3 to 6 inches, according to our official Accuweather

00:38winter cast here. And, of course, a reminder that you can get these

00:45there's snow or ice in the forecast. So if you're near Denver, maybe and

00:49wondering how much snow exactly you're going to get head over to Accuweather

00:53dot com. You can see that on the winter cast as far as timing, starting

00:57overnight and lasting through noon on Thursday. Now let's talk about this

01:00next stormy pattern. The Pacific Northwest. You've really gotten a break

01:04from the stormy pattern. We usually see this time of year for the last couple

01:08of weeks, but it is back starting tomorrow night through Friday. We'll see

01:12some locally heavy rainfall and some heavy snowfall, especially in the

01:15Cascades. So keep in mind that this could impact some roads at past level

01:19there. But the next storm is really gonna be the stronger storm because

01:24it's an atmospheric river event, which, of course, means some heavier rainfall.

01:28More of that flooding risk. We'll see some snow with this as well. But

01:31landslides, road closures, travel delays, all of that possible from the

01:35heavy snowfall, especially take a look at our rainfall totals here. It's

01:39gonna vary depending on exactly where you are anywhere from 1 to 2 inches of

01:43rain all the way up to 8 inches to a foot of rain highlighted in that darker

01:48green color. And our Accuweather local storm max is 16 inches of rain, and the

01:54heaviest precipitation is going to be at the highest elevations.
