Now let's go ahead and talk about the winter weather threat that we're going to be tracking as we head throughout the weekend.
00:05
We will unfortunately see another chance of freezing rain and ice here across the region,
00:09
so we will see dangerous driving conditions across the region and also the risk of power outages
00:15
because of ice accumulation on tree branches and power lines, so we will be watching this.
00:20
But also, take a look at this.
00:22
This is our snow map.
00:24
This is going to be a pretty prolific snow producer here as we head throughout the weekend.
00:28
You can see this darkest shade of blue right here across the northeast in New England.
00:32
That's where we're going to see over a foot of total snowfall possible.
00:35
Our AccuWeather Local Storm Max, two feet of total snowfall possible for some areas, including Madison, Wisconsin.
00:42
Now if you haven't yet, you can download our free AccuWeather app.
00:44
One of the tools available is our winter cast tool,
00:47
and what this does is it breaks down the timeline of the impending winter weather for Madison, Wisconsin.
00:52
It's going to be expected through 6 o'clock.
00:55
This is central time there on Saturday, and it also has an updated probability of the snowfall totals and amounts,
01:02
so it looks like the highest potential is going to be between 6 to 10 inches of snowfall there for Madison.
