00:00The Migrant Workers Department laid down their achievements to protect overseas Filipino workers.

00:08This is what Bien Manalo has to say.

00:12In accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to protect overseas Filipino workers,

00:19the Department of Migrant Workers established these programs for the people of the new era.

00:28This is the continuous fight against illegal recruitment and human trafficking.

00:32In fact, more than 2 million OFWs have already been hired by the DMW.

00:39More than 70,000 illegal recruitment sites have been taken down by the agency.

00:43More than 20,000 OFWs have been given legal assistance.

00:48The agency also gave priority to the Action Fund which has a fund of 2.2 billion pesos.

00:54More than 135,000 OFWs have already been helped by the Action Fund.

01:00Of course, President Marcos is our OFW President.

01:04That's what we call the President because OFWs have an overwhelming mandate.

01:08He ordered to increase the benefits of our Action Fund from 30,000, a flat rate of 30,000 assistance.

01:17This increased from 50,000 to 75,000 to 100,000 depending on the gravity.

01:22The DMW also strengthened its repatriation program.

01:25In fact, more than 3,000 OFWs from Israel, Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank were sent home by the DMW in the Philippines.

01:34More than 30,000 OFWs benefited from the government's reintegration program.

01:40The OFW Hospital and Bagong Pilipinas Cancer Care Center were also strengthened

01:46where more than 250,000 to 300,000 OFWs benefited from the hospital.

01:53We were able to secure the safe repatriation of 3,000 workers from Israel and Lebanon and Gaza and the West Bank

02:01safely come home through a whole of government approach.

02:05The DMW will also strengthen bilateral agreements with other countries.
