00:00The Basketball Hall of Fame finalists for this year were named this weekend as well.

00:05They'll announce those, I believe it's Final Four weekend is when they announce who actually is getting in to the Hall of Fame.

00:12But Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Sue Bird, Maya Moore, among others, Billy Donovan, Mark Few, there was a lot of names on the list.

00:22So let me ask you this question. I'm just asking because I know how sensitive people get.

00:29But look, Melo won Syracuse National Championship by himself, literally.

00:37He won that title, not Boeheim. Melo won that title. But in the NBA, what did he do?

00:44He shot 30 times a game and he made threes, right? Like that's what he did.

00:50He never won anything. Do you think he's a like Hall of Famer?

00:57Well, just because he can shoot threes like honest to Christ.

01:01I mean, at some point, are they ever going to like say, you know what?

01:05You didn't win. You didn't you don't have anything. You just shot threes.

01:08Like, do you really think he because he scored a lot of points? Fair enough.

01:13Because in the NBA, who doesn't like if you're a starter in the NBA and you play as long as he did,

01:19you're going to get your chucks and he got them right. And that's what he did.

01:23Do you think he's legit, like automatic Hall of Famer? Like no questions asked.

01:27Like when you think of him, is it with immediacy that you put him in? Because it's not me.

01:32He you know, you look at his numbers. He's a really good player. That was it.

01:41When he retired, he was the ninth leading scorer in history at with twenty eight thousand points.

01:46So that's why they're going to put him in just because he's right.

01:49He played long enough and shot enough shots. He was a ball hog.

01:52He never passed his shot. Now, the Basketball Hall of Fame is a little bit different than baseball,

01:59football and hockey because it includes you're in everything.

02:04The Basketball Hall of Fame is your entire career, collegiate and professional.

02:09So him winning the title at Syracuse combined with his twenty eight thousand points in the NBA.

02:15He's oh, he's going to be in. There's no doubt he's going to be in.

02:18But that's an Olympic medal. So it's not just your NBA resume.

02:26That's why everyone understands how much I hate Syracuse and I'm willing to block his entry into the base.
