00:16Pro-Khalistani supporters staged a massive protest.

00:19They had Khalistan flags and they were chanting against India

00:23and they were chanting in favor of Khalistan.

00:26Now this protest took place right outside the venue

00:29where India's external affairs minister S.J. Shankar was participating in a discussion.

00:34Discussion was being held at the Chetum House in London and these are visuals coming in.

00:40Pro-Khalistani supporters in large numbers were right outside the venue

00:44where the external affairs minister S.J. Shankar was holding a meeting.

00:54We have seen not just in the United States but across the globe

00:58even in various parts of UK over the past many years

01:02the number of protests with regards to Khalistan have increased tremendously.

01:07We have seen them happening very frequently in Canada

01:10and now in UK also right outside Chetum House.

01:13That's the place where the external affairs minister was having

01:18was present and he was having

01:21he was inside when this massive protest took place.

01:23The flags that you are seeing are the Khalistani flags.

01:29The slogans that you can hear were in favor of Khalistan and against India.

01:36My colleague Shivani Sharma is now joining me on the story.

01:39Shivani, we can very clearly see the supporters were present in large numbers.

01:43They had flags in their hands, the Khalistan flag

01:46and they were all supporting in favor of Khalistan and the slogans were against India.

01:52Aishwarya, we've seen such pictures even before in UK

01:56and this is the first time when Dr. S.J. Shankar is there for a visit

02:01and then he's being shown this kind of flags and protesters are there.

02:05And India has been very vocal about its concerns against Khalistan

02:10and that's why the Khalistani especially in Canada, UK

02:13they have been gathering whenever some Indian official is there

02:17or Indian minister is there.

02:19And this time also we are seeing that when Dr. S.J. Shankar is there at Chatham House

02:24this protest is going on and India will strongly raise its concern

02:31regarding this particular incident as it has been doing

02:34regarding other protests of the Khalistanis

02:36and the vandalization of properties across the world.

02:39They're gathering in different countries so this is another incident

02:43and definitely we expect a statement very soon from the MEA on this.

02:53to come out with a statement with regards to this protest

02:56that took place in London right outside the Chatham House.
