00:00The Philippine Embassy in Laos PDR assured that they will approach Filipinos who are facing serious problems.

00:07They will also continue their cooperation with the Filipino community in the country.

00:19As a proof of the mandate given by the Filipinos abroad,

00:23the Philippine Embassy in Laos PDR is organizing an activity to help our fellow Filipinos who are facing problems.

00:31In the same Radyo Pilipinas World Service, Philippine Ambassador to Laos PDR, Dina Joy Amatong,

00:38announced that most of the post-arrival orientation seminars will be conducted from work.

00:44The Embassy is helping to review the employment contracts of our fellow Filipinos.

00:54We are encouraging them to follow the standards.

01:01The Embassy is also active in assisting the Philippine government in overseeing employment.

01:08She also emphasized the importance of cooperation not only in Laos PDR, but especially in the Filipino community in the country.

01:15The Embassy themselves show an example of how to have that good relationship to the Laos community,

01:22but at the same time, they are really looking after us.

01:26According to the Embassy, more than 2,000 Filipinos are currently living and working in Laos PDR.

01:33Of these, 30% are in the education sector such as teachers and school administrators.
