01:41But we cannot have a simplistic idea that while you say there must be an ambassador,

01:46that you must put a white ambassador for a white president in the United States.

01:59We have tried to engage, we have been met with executive orders that cut our aid, cut PEPFAR,

02:06and now we sit with the idea that millions could be reinfected with HIV and AIDS.

02:12The research for the vaccine may not be one that could be completed.

02:17Those are the dangerous things that are happening and why we must mend our relationship or sit out the next four years.

02:36A lot of people in South Africa have lost funding, people have lost jobs because of the withdrawal of U.S. aid.

02:46We are here for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and elsewhere

02:50who are still being murdered by Trump's genocide and Netanyahu's genocide.

02:55So I think Ibrahim Rasool stood up against that and our government stood up against that.

03:01And while we are reaping consequences, we stood on moral ground.
