Anthony Albanese visits once-safe Labor seat of Fowler in Western Sydney

Anthony Albanese has taken his campaign to Western Sydney, travelling to the once-safe Labor seat of fowler.

00:14Fowler is actually quite a critical seat for Labor.

00:17This is pretty pivotal in this election.

00:18Labor lost this seat three years ago to an Independent trying to rebuild its brand in

00:23this part of Western Sydney.

00:25I think we might be heading off to revisit to a classroom now, but it's been, yeah, quite

00:29the reception certainly.

00:31As I mentioned before, Fowler is absolutely vital for Labor.

00:34They lost this seat to the Independent Dai Lee three years ago.

00:37They're running a new candidate this time around.

00:39Last time it was Christina Keneally who wasn't from this part of the world.

00:42Tu Li is Labor's candidate this time, trying to regain this seat to make the inroads it

00:47needs to in Western Sydney.

00:49The Liberals are certainly chasing plenty of other seats around Western Sydney as well,

00:53so trying to regain Fowler could be an important buffer for Labor as it tries to hang on to

00:58government.

00:59Anthony Albanese staying in Western Sydney, addressing a forum later on this morning on

01:03the future of Western Sydney.

01:04So Labor trying to make that pitch to this part of the world to continue their trust

01:09in Labor.

01:10There are plenty of safe Labor seats out here.

01:12As I mentioned, the Liberals do want to make inroads.

01:13They want to regain this seat of Fowler.

01:16So the Prime Minister making his pitch to Western Sydney a bit later on today.
