00:00On nomination day Friday, San Fernando West MP Faris Alrawi told reporters he
00:06had evidence suggesting the opposition is planning to spend 1.5 million dollars
00:11to sway voters ahead of the upcoming general election. On Saturday, TV6 News
00:17asked Prime Minister Stuart Young for his thoughts on the claims made.
00:21I was actually surprised that he was conservative because what we're seeing
00:26is we're actually seeing the evidence and it's not only in MP Alrawi's
00:29constituency, you're seeing it in La Joqueta, Talparu, you're seeing it in
00:33San Nigrani, the type of behavior you're seeing. So if MP Alrawi says that, I am
00:38certain he's being conservative. You're seeing influencers being paid $40,000 to
00:45start up with the the opposition's messaging. Speaking to TV6 News
00:49following the handing over of the San Fernando fishing facility keys to the
00:53Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries on Saturday, Prime Minister
00:58Young further claimed they have additional evidence of misconduct which
01:02he condemned. Forensic evidence of the UNC's usage and their agents usage of
01:09artificial intelligence and the creation of bots and the use of this
01:13unfortunately in a racist manner to try and start up fake profiles to go on
01:20government sites and government pages as well as some of our pages and to put
01:26these false comments up. So there is a utilization of that in a very
01:30irresponsible manner. What you're also seeing is an increase, that's what MP
01:34Alrawi was speaking about. You're seeing an increase of people turning up,
01:37offering money to persons. The Prime Minister also took time to refute
01:43claims made by the opposition leader Kamala Prasad Bisesa. On Friday she
01:48alleged that TNT is currently facing 10% U.S. export tariffs due to his and
01:53former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley's relationship with the Venezuelan
01:57government. An accusation and a claim that the relationship that Dr. Rowley
02:02and I have with Venezuela led to the imposition of tariffs. China, they got
02:08tariffs a much higher level imposed on them. We got the lowest, 10%. Guyana, 38%.
02:13So what did Guyana do? And Guyana actually is in a dispute with Venezuela.
02:18You look around the world, Canada, what did Canada do? They were there as well. So you
02:23all analyze these statements, these reckless, misleading, intentionally lies,
02:30intentional lies being told to you.
