00:08The study has stated that a total of 399,816 offences were committed in the southwest last year.

00:20Shoplifting offences increased by 23% compared to 2023.

00:25According to the study, a total number of 399,816 offences were committed in the southwest during 2024.

00:44The southwest has a crime rate of 69.4%, one per thousand people.

01:03But according to these statistics, there are cities within the southwest that are regarded the worst for crime.

01:11Burnham-on-Sea came in second highest with a crime rate of 1,037.3% per 1,000 people.

01:19And the city of Bristol is the sixth highest for crime in the southwest, with a rate of 119.6% per 1,000 people.
