Entertainment Editor, Shelby Stewart, shares her thoughts on Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 episode 6.
Transcript
00:00We got a lot in this episode though and so elsewhere we see Shamia in the studio with RL from Next and she invites Drew and Angela over to kind of support her through that and I love to see that. I love to see the girls at work. I thought that that was a great little tidbit to see and I'm excited to really see where Shamia goes in her music career.
00:22Can you sing a little bit of the song for us? You never had someone like me. Can't you see that you can have everything that you need if you want it? Somebody like, somebody like what? I'm gonna handle all of that.
00:38Or y'all gonna hear this damn song. One word or another. You gonna hear me today.
00:44Hey Essies, we've made it to episode 6 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the season 16 season and let me just start off by saying all of the ladies were very visibly disturbed by the ending of Kenya's spa launch.
01:00We also see Britt at home with her husband and she's very deep in her emotions about this and rightfully so because I think that she, no one expects for something like that to happen.
01:13Even if there is a little bit of tit for tat, I think that that was just completely blown out of proportion.
01:19Kelly comes over, shows her a little bit of support and they're talking and I love that Britt clocks it that Kenya wanted to get a visceral reaction out of her so that she could become the aggressor essentially.
01:35Britt is not the first person to acknowledge that. I think that NeNe and Phaedra in past seasons have said that Kenya does have a way of provoking people and so we're kind of seeing that play out once again.
01:48It was two nights before, according to the episode, 48 hours later, the ladies are decompressing from everything that happened at the spa launch and all of the ladies just were completely not happy with how that situation went.
02:04Britt is very clearly on edge because the ladies reveal that they have also talked to Kenya about the whole thing and she's on edge rightfully so,
02:14but she ends up getting into a back and forth with Angela because Britt says that she loses her insurance license, so to speak.
02:27And Angela questions how.
02:29Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
02:31What do you want to base off of what?
02:32Where's that energy coming from with me?
02:33I'm licensed as well. In order to lose a license, there has to be calls.
02:38What was the cause? That's the question I asked.
02:40Britt, to be honest, this ain't energy.
02:42Today is for me.
02:43How?
02:44It's always been for you.
02:45Me, as a viewer, I'm assuming that maybe there is some sort of morality clause that obviously was broken after all of the backlash,
02:54but no, actually, she goes on to say that she is currently under investigation because of everything that's happening,
03:01but she hasn't actually lost it yet, which kind of proved Angela's point.
03:06So, points for you, Angela. I'm not going to lie. That was good.
03:11But again, Shamia is really taking the role of peacemaker, and I kind of like that she's really bringing the girls together.
03:20Please put my peace in their drinks.
03:22The dictionary defines peace as tranquility.
03:25Right now, they need tranquilizers.
03:28But Essie's, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
