US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (April 29) joked that he would like to succeed Pope Fancis, who passed away last week at the age of 88.

00:16When asked for his thoughts on the upcoming conclave to elect the next leader of the Catholic Church,
00:21Trump said he had no particular preference.
00:25No, I don't know. I have no preference. I must say we have a cardinal that happens to be out of a place called New York who's very good.

00:35According to the Vatican, Roman Catholic cardinals will begin their secretive conclave on May 7th to choose the next pope.
