Transcript
00:00Hi, I'm Harry. I'm the farm manager here at Goodwood Estate. The estate is just under 12,000 acres of which 4,000 acres of that is farmed organically.
00:11And enterprises here we have a dairy, we have a suckler beef herd and we have pigs and we have sheep flock as well.
00:20All breeds here are native and as well as being native we're also looking towards the future with technology.
00:29So we follow the heritage led innovation idea. So keeping hold of those traditional breeds but also pushing forward with technology using robotic milking machines at the dairy.
00:45Using collars for the cows to detect various health traits and to enable us to improve their welfare.
00:56And also to create this flagship farm where other farmers can come, other farmers and anybody to do with food or the countryside can come and actually learn what is possible within the industry.
01:10The very core of everything we do here is quality. So we want to produce the best whether that's the milk, the cheese or the meat that we produce here.
01:23We want to produce the very best. We don't want to produce as much as possible. It is all about the quality.
01:29And that's something that is true to me and is true to everybody that works here.
01:34I don't know how it works here.
01:35I hope it works here.
