Leader of Staffordshire County Council Ian Cooper talks about public support

Reform UK's Councillor Ian Cooper was officially declared leader of Staffordshire County Council at a full council meeting today

00:00ceremonial and procedural because it's the introduction to everybody regarding the council

00:04itself so we're electing the leader and then we're appointing all the cabinet members the chairman

00:09and the vice chairman of the council so there's a lot of sort of historic procedural stuff that's

00:15going to go on today there are a few questions quite rightly which we will answer but the real

00:21business starts after the 22nd when we have you know further business to talk about in fact how's

00:26the how's the public being obviously you obviously you won by like a level by a good by a good amount

00:29how's the how's the public reception the reception has been fantastic there's a lot of goodwill

00:33there's a lot of support and empathy from a lot of people the council officers have been great

00:39they've been incredibly welcoming and nice and they are you know open to do new business so it's

00:44going to be fun let's see where it goes fantastic and last question sorry we'll see what we're looking

00:48forward to in the future you just have to wait and see we're going to review and mark the previous
