00:00Some farmers had found this tiny little odd wolf cub.

00:04They searched around for two or three nights with no mom in sight.

00:08She was really underweight and dehydrated.

00:11We just had to get her through the first couple of days just getting her to eat.

00:17For the first couple of months she lived in my house.

00:21They're related to hyenas but unlike hyenas they only eat termites.

00:28We did take her out into the field a couple of times just for her to sniff around.

00:34Just to let her be an artful for a bit.

00:38Getting her used to different smells, different sounds.

00:42A bit of exposure for the next step.

00:47So this is Maple moving on to her next step of her release.

00:52She'll be put into a soft release enclosure.

00:55I moved her into an outdoor enclosure.

01:01I would still go out at night to feed her a bottle.

01:06We eventually left her enclosure open so that she could come and go as she pleased.

01:12She would come home every morning and she had made a burrow inside the enclosure.

01:17She basically is a free artful now.

01:20The end goal is always setting them free.

01:23When I look at that I see gratitude.

01:27I'm pretty sure she was turning around to say thank you.

01:30As much as I miss her, it's so rewarding.
