US president Trump renews extension for TikTok to avoid nationwide ban

A US law requires Chinese parent company ByteDance to sell the app or face its nationwide ban in the United States. Trump has however vowed to "not let TikTok go dark", and the US government has attempted to negotiate a solution with China.
