Oregon Ducks Defensive Back Dillon Thieneman Discusses His Early Impression Of the Ducks Quarterbacks
Transcript
00:00Here's your early impression of the quarterbacks, Dante and Austin,
00:07considering that you go up against them every day.
00:10I say they're both very good.
00:13I mean, I love going up against them.
00:18Yeah, there's not much more I can really say about that.
00:22Last question, James.
00:24As you've gone about learning this defense, the calls, et cetera,
00:27and probably reviewing tape of it from last season,
00:29did you look at more of Kobe or Taishim, one more than the other necessarily?
00:33Because they both did a lot of box work like you did.
00:35They both did a lot of free safety work like you did.
00:37I didn't know if one stood out more than the other in terms of just what they were asked to do
00:41and what they're planning to ask you to do.
00:44So right now I'm still trying to learn both positions.
00:47So they were like some games like Taishim would be field safety
00:53and Kobe would be boundary safety and other games will switch.
00:55So I was kind of looking at both points, seeing how they play, how they react.
01:01Taishim had been in the system for two years, but he had another kind of position change.
01:06He was playing star two years ago.
01:08Last year he was playing more safety.
01:11And then Kobe coming in first year.
01:13So I was just seeing how they react to the calls, react to the offense in certain situations.
01:17All right.
