Struber pleased with Bristol City pre-season camp

00:05that has been put in by his players during their warm weather training camp in Portugal

00:10ahead of the new championship season.

00:12He made clear that the group that he has at Bristol City are a very willing squad.

00:17A very interesting week, I think I had the big chance to come in touch with my players,

00:24with my staff and I think we used the time in a very good way.

00:29We made, I would say, very good steps in our principles, how we want to play together,

00:36but also I would say with many players I have the chance to speak a little bit more about

00:41football, about what is behind the player, about more topics and I think we used the time

00:50in a very good direction.

00:52What did you want to achieve from this week?

00:55Of course we made steps in our style of play, in our identity and I think we did good steps

01:02and we can complete tomorrow with a game, we can show that and I think this is how we can

01:11finish the training camp in a very good direction.

01:14And Bristol Rovers head coach Darryl Clark has said that his squad still have much to work

01:19on following a 3-2 defeat against Stockport County in pre-season.

01:24The guards were pegged back by two goals but managed to fight back 2-2-2 before Stockport County scored a winner.

01:31Yeah, listen, I want to win every game, I'm disappointed to lose the game at the end after we come back

01:36from 2-0 down but like you said, there's positives to come from and a lot of things we need to work on.

01:43Yeah, you mentioned previously not to reflect on last season but there are moments where you go one, two goals behind

01:48and there wasn't that reaction that you saw there today?

01:50Yeah, listen, we have to react, you have to come back, come from behind to get points and win games.

01:57You know, we were 2-0 down, we're back to 2-2 but we're disappointed with the goals.

02:01One of the first goals was a touch of class, obviously Ollie Norwood's got that in the locker

02:04but we're disappointed with the goals we conceded today but it's another back end of a real, real tough week.

02:09There's a lot of positives to take out of it but also a lot of work to take out of it.
