A Liverpool baby hospice saved from closure after a community fundraising campaign generated more than £6m within a matter of weeks has announced its new name.

00:00Liverpool Zoe's Place has officially revealed a new name, Little Light's Liverpool Baby Hospice.

00:06Some of Mergeside's biggest names of music came together on Thursday night for a truly special cause.

00:12The one night-only concert at the M&S Bank Arena celebration of Liverpool Zoe's Place brought over 9,000 people together,

00:20not just for the music, but for the mission.

00:23Jamie Webster, the Zootons and the Lightning Seeds headlined the star-studded line-up,

00:28backed by none other than the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

00:32It was a once-in-a-lifetime show of solidarity, raising vital funds to support the future of the Children's Hospice, once known as Zoe's Place.

00:40The event was more than just a concert. Organisers called it a landmark cultural moment,

00:45a heartfelt thank you to the community whose support helped save the hospice from closure.

00:51And in a moving moment, the hospice unveiled its brand new name.

00:55The name came from a city-wide competition, and the winning idea came from seven-year-old Amelia.

01:02Judges said Little Light's perfectly reflects the love, care and hope the hospice brings to children with life-limiting conditions.

01:11In October, Zoe's Place announced its Liverpool Baby Hospice would be forced to close by the end of the year,

01:17unless it could raise enough money to build a new facility.

01:21The charity said it had 30 days to raise the funds, and after a mammoth fundraising campaign,

01:28around £6.5 million was raised.

01:32With a new name, a new home in West Arby opening in summer 2026,

01:37and a community behind it stronger than ever.
