00:00You ever granted something and get hit with,
00:02I don't know, you think we're made of money?
00:05But here's the secret nobody tells you.
00:07Making money is easier than saving money.
00:10Solve problems for people who hate their problem enough to pay you to make it go away.
00:15Find something that costs time, effort, or skill,
00:19and send it to people who have a lot of money and a lot of problems,
00:22but absolutely zero time to fix it themselves.
00:25You do this at a decent scale, and congratulations, you've unlocked the simplest path.
00:31So here's how I would go about making my first 10 grand if I had to start over from scratch as a student.
00:37To make money, you need this stuff.
00:39To buy this stuff, you need money.
00:41Beautiful, I love capitalism.
00:43So, option one is the quick cash way.
00:47I'm talking about...
00:50And I know, I see you rolling your ice right there.
00:53This sounds so basic.
00:54But that's the whole point, because it works.
00:57And these are actually the fastest ways to make money and get paid immediately.
01:02You don't need to build a website or make a logo,
01:04just go find some customers in your local area.
01:07Rich people love paying for convenience,
01:10to save time, to impress friends, and to look cool.
01:13Please take my money and make my life easier.
01:15Here's what my routine looks like each time I finish a pet sitting booking.
01:19I've been pet sitting as a side hustle for the past 6 years,
01:21and even have a perfect 5-star rating on the Rover app.
01:24I even got recognized from Business Insider, who wrote an article about my business.
01:27And here's the real deal.
01:29And yes, I've read it all.
01:31I'm awkward.
01:32I'm painfully shy.
01:33There are too many people doing the same thing.
01:35Oh, for the last 2 years, I've kind of wanted to try this,
01:39but I haven't just been like, like, able to, uh, like, yeah.
01:43No.
01:43No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
01:45Stop it.
01:45I think everyone should be their side hustles as their passion projects when they're first starting out.
01:51Because suddenly, there's no pressure.
01:53It's just for fun.
01:54You're allowed to make mistakes, experiment as much as you want.
01:58It's not the thing that's going to make or break you.
02:00Like any skill, you just have to do it more and more and more, and you get better with time.
02:06I know it does take a lot of courage to put yourself out there, and that's exactly the point.
02:12The universe will reward those who are courageous enough to do the things they love.
02:17Trust me, you lose more by thinking about what could go wrong than trying and failing at something.
02:23I dare you to hate comment on this video cause it might make me rich.
02:28How to make over 30 grand in one month because of internet haters from someone who did it once.
02:33But what the haters didn't know is their engagement was just boosting my video about this $5 product,
02:39the printable partner meeting guide.
02:41All the hate comments made my video go so viral that I sold thousands of these,
02:47and I spent my Christmas vacation last year passively pocketing over 30 grand from hate comments.
02:54So don't you reject yourself before you freaking try.
02:56So here's what you do.
02:58Find one thing you really like and get really good at it.
03:02If you're ruining the code, show how.
03:04Into mental health or pop culture, share what you learn.
03:08You love trying out new products, review them.
03:10People love it.
03:12When someone does the difficult work and saves them time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears,
03:18and literal brain cells that they had to do with themselves,
03:21they want to see you doing things from genuine interest and passion and getting better
03:26because that inspires them to do that for themselves as well.
03:30And having these is an absolute bonus.
03:32So you can absolutely build and refine these over time.
03:36You have three options.
03:38Build a personal brand, make deep dives on crazy cool topics,
03:42or create UGC for brands.
03:45Your first box would come anywhere from these.
03:48The more visible you are, the more opportunities you'll get,
03:52and the more money you'll eventually make.
03:55Or you could start your online business.
03:58With products, you can go and sell physical products like these.
04:02Personalized jewelry, sticker packs and stationery,
04:06handmade candles, clay products, mugs,
04:09crochet or knitted items,
04:11planners and journals,
04:12art posters, calendars,
04:15clothes, commission portraits, magnetic bookmarks.
04:19When deciding what to sell,
04:21pretty art isn't enough.
04:23Solve a problem.
04:25Magnetic bookmarks, never lose your page,
04:28commission portraits, thoughtful gifts,
04:31guided journal, mental clarity, self-reflection, habit setting.
04:35But easier alternative will be digital products and courses.
04:41No inventory, no shipping, pure profit.
04:44If you don't want to build a personal brand,
04:47you can simply collaborate with a content creator
04:49or sell on platforms like Etsy and Gumroad.
04:54Regarding pricing, here's my simple formula.
04:57The time you spend making something,
04:58plus the cost of materials,
05:00plus a fair margin,
05:01should equal the price that you sell it for.
05:04Let's say you want to make $20 an hour.
05:06You add the cost of materials,
05:08that's your price.
05:09You're not just selling a commodity,
05:11you're selling them the solution to their problems
05:14and saving them time and effort and literal brain cells.
05:18You're selling them a lifestyle,
05:20you're selling them memories.
05:21So by fairly pricing your product,
05:24you're attracting an audience
05:25that you ultimately want to keep
05:27and not random people who want to want to pay you.
05:29That being said,
05:30don't price your product so high,
05:32it won't be accessible to the people
05:34you want to sell the thing to.
05:36You could sell Notion templates,
05:38solving very specific problems,
05:40resume templates,
05:41guides to very specific things.
05:43It will sell better if you do this for businesses,
05:45planners and business documents,
05:48custom designs for people's birthdays and marriages,
05:51printable planners for organization and productivity,
05:55courses and notes.
05:56You can pretty much also develop your own video games.
05:59These guys made 28 grand in their first month.
06:02But before you get your hands dirty
06:04and really start making your digital products,
06:07ask yourself,
06:08who am I making this for?
06:10What problem am I solving?
06:11And would somebody really pay for this?
06:15Let's talk about how much money I made
06:17selling digital products on Etsy in 2024.
06:19For most of 2024,
06:20I sold a single budget and goal tracker.
06:23I had two variations,
06:24one for credit card users
06:25and one for debit and cash users.
06:27A grand total of $18,074.
06:30Services don't need no inventory,
06:33mostly no upfront costs,
06:34unless...
06:36And almost all revenue goes into your pocket.
06:38You're selling your time and skills
06:40directly to the clients
06:41who already have the money
06:43and problems waiting to be solved.
06:45When a business is making 50 grand a month,
06:48spending two grand to solve a problem
06:50is no big deal,
06:51as long as it helps them make more money.
06:54So you spend a few months learning one skill,
06:57build a small portfolio,
06:58a personal brand,
07:00put your work out there,
07:01and people on the internet see your work,
07:04and some may reach out to you
07:05asking for your services.
07:07Without building a personal brand,
07:08you will have to directly reach out
07:10to potential clients on...
07:12So, let me do the math for you.
07:15You charge $502,000 per client,
07:18and you land 5 to 10 clients,
07:20and boom, you're making $5 to $10,000.
07:24Think that's a lot of money?
07:25Well, businesses don't really pay for effort.
07:28They pay based on the money
07:29you bring in for the business.
07:31Suddenly, they're not thinking about the cost.
07:33They're thinking about profit.
07:36And when they see that your work
07:37is directly making them money,
07:39they will happily pay you for it.
07:41But I don't have the skills.
07:43That's completely fine.
07:45You don't need to be the best in the world,
07:48just lightly ahead of the person willing to pay you.
07:51For example, you reach out to a business owner
07:53who has no time to promote their brand online,
07:57and you offer to manage their social media.
08:00Your unfair advantage,
08:02you have 10 years of tube-scrolling experience,
08:05and you know the ins and outs of social media
08:07are better than some 45-year-old dentist
08:09who barely uses Facebook.
08:11Start by doing it for free for some time.
08:14Your local dentist, the cafe down the street,
08:17use that as proof of work,
08:20then pitch these results to the people
08:22who would actually pay for it.
08:24And yeah, so that's that.
08:26If you found this helpful,
08:27don't need to subscribe,
08:28and I'll see you in the next one.
