00:43this letter and I said to him Brian I am absolutely reading that letter within a few days I did get a
00:56letter from a man Chuck Bunker who had had an incident with Brian and Denise in Atlanta
01:05the letter says Miss Kathy Winchester I'm sorry that I find myself writing this letter to you
01:25about one of your best friends Denise Williams and your ex Brian Winchester Denise and Brian have
01:33been leading a double life that few people are aware of you need to be watchful of their behavior
01:39because they have been dishonest with you for the past two and a half years and they both have
01:44demonstrated extremely strange behavior it was easy for her after her husband's death to start
01:52a bizarre affair with your husband Brian the affair was not a normal affair it involved decadent sexual
02:00behavior with various people strippers and other sordid acts me and Denise were dating I think we're just
02:15getting ready to head out to dinner but we went down to the lobby and lo and behold Brian Winchester is
02:23in the lobby he said all right Denise me and you have got to talk there's lots of things that we've got
02:29to discuss basically Denise told him to go home he said Denise if you make me go home I'm gonna go home and kill
02:43myself I didn't have a clue what the hell was going on so I said Brian you know you need to listen to
02:49Denise Denise wants you out of here you need to leave it Denise wants you to go we will have the police out
02:54here you just don't know how far he's going to go he's got this personality that's when he started
03:02threatening to kill both of us I mean he said he had a gun in the truck and he was going to go get it
03:07and basically kill me and Denise on the spot if Denise didn't talk to him to add to the list of bizarre
03:14behavior he also threatened her with blackmail Brian was telling Denise that you know if you don't get back
03:21with me I've got pictures of you doing weird stuff that I'm going to you know broadcast to everybody
03:27you know send them to her mom and dad or whatever this Atlanta incident could have easily happened in
03:37Tallahassee with more dire consequences I really thought that she was trying to make that last best
03:46effort to get away from him and and that she just couldn't do it because basically Brian controlled
03:54her life I mean she was really afraid I'm telling because her and Brian have done something together
04:03I don't know what it is I mean they are locked in with each other
04:11I was furious when I got this letter I mean obviously it's
04:21confirmation of everything I had suspected they're both horrible people they deserve each other
04:31Brian told Denise to end it with Chuck
04:39I knew Brian was dating Denise in secret it was never something he wanted to openly
04:51admit to because it would look so bad at this point I'm ready to be divorced
05:00in those last couple of weeks before our court date he starts saying this is what the Bible says about
05:14divorced women using manipulation of the scriptures to try to stop me from going through with it
05:26it was never let's repair our relationship it was never about let me make this right to you please
05:36forgive me I've done you wrong it was never that
05:40the day that we were in court to get the divorce Brian sat behind me crying openly crying as if this was
05:56breaking his heart it was just that last minute push of manipulation to try to get me to walk out of there and not go through with it
06:09it but the divorce was final that day and I feel good about it yeah
06:21it's been almost three years since Mike disappeared
06:29no one can understand how a mother feels when her heart is broken
06:40my son is never out of my mind
06:45after Kathy left Brian and moved out Denise spent a lot of time with Brian
06:51she had herself declared a widow when she had Mike declared dead
06:57six months after he disappeared
07:00Brian and Kathy got divorced
07:04and I remember Denise telling me
07:08Denise telling me about she and Brian it made sense Denise lost Mike and loved Mike Brian was his best friend Brian's now divorced
07:23that would be a natural fit that really would kind of heal her heart

07:42so Brian and Denise had the green light to start dating

07:53he smiled around her a lot more

08:03but Brian told me Denise wanted to marry

08:20it was very strict
08:22our games were Christian themed

08:28when we weren't at church
08:31we were listening to sermons on tape at home
08:33but around the time Brian was a senior in high school
08:37he didn't want to go to church anymore
08:39and he put his dresser in front of the door
08:43because my parents were banging on the door
08:45trying to get him to come out to go to church
08:46and he's like I'm not going
08:47he would go on Christmas and Easter
08:53and Mother's Day
08:53and maybe Father's Day
08:54and that sort of thing
08:55but he was like I'm not in it
08:57in the name of Jesus

09:00Denise's parents did not like that about my brother
09:04Brian was not godly enough for her
09:07and so he did go through
09:10a big religious experience
09:13Brian got in the pool
09:21and they ask you to tell your story
09:23as to why you became a Christian
09:25he said I ran my life to the ground
09:28and I got into the bottom of the pit
09:31and I had nowhere to look but up
09:34and he said and I cried out to God
09:38and you know God forgave me of all of my sins
09:41and I'm here to be baptized
09:45as a public display
09:48and like I cried
09:54I was super excited
09:56that Brian was going to be back in the church
09:58and that also really made Denise very happy
10:08that Brian was baptized again
10:11We got an invitation
10:38and we're like wow
10:40I can't believe we were invited to the way
10:42The pastor gets up
10:56and starts the service
10:58and the first thing he says is
