Dramatic footage shows intense waves and winds as Storm Floris surges - bringing a warning of 'danger to life' in Scotland.

Craig Wilkinson captured the footage in Elgol, a village on the Isle of Skye, today (4 August).

The Met Office issued the warning as parts of the UK are battered by winds up to 90mph.

The amber wind warning is in place until 11pm today with a yellow warning in operation in the north of England.

That is in addition to a yellow wind warning already in place across northern England.
