00:00Storm florist is certainly the worst we've had this summer. In fact, it's the most powerful storm we've experienced since storm Eowyn back in January.
00:07And to put it into comparison with other summer storms, we've only had two amber warnings for wind in the UK since we had the current warning system in 2011.
00:20And those wind storms weren't as powerful as storm florist. In fact, it's difficult to find a storm as powerful going back decades.
00:28We've seen that several Scottish stations have recorded their highest August wind gust on record with widely 70 to 80 mile per hour gusts being recorded through the morning and afternoon.
