00:07Nehemiah Griego, a 15-year-old boy, carried out a mass shooting that claimed the lives of five members of his family.
00:15On the night of January 19th, 2013, Griego used two different firearms, a shotgun and a semi-automatic rifle.
00:23He first shot his mother, then his younger brother, and finally his two younger sisters who were crying innocently.
00:30But the horror didn't stop there.
00:32He waited for his father to return home and shot him multiple times with the semi-automatic rifle.
00:39After the murders, he drove to a church with the firearms in his truck and told his girlfriend that his family had died in an accident.
00:46Thankfully, a pastor and a retired homicide detective sensed something was wrong and called 911.
00:53Griego later confessed that he had suicidal and homicidal thoughts and had planned to kill more people and engage in a shootout with the police.

01:04Since he was a minor at the time, he was initially considered for juvenile sentencing.
