A quelques jours du vernissage de sa nouvelle exposition, Lizzy, une jeune sculptrice qui ne vit pas encore de ses créations, doit composer avec de nombreux imprévus. Entre son emploi administratif alimentaire, sous les ordres directs de sa mère, une panne d'eau chaude et le sauvetage d'un pigeon blessé, les sources de distraction se multiplient. Pourtant, étonnamment, le chaos de son quotidien constitue une inépuisable source d'inspiration pour l'artiste. Ses difficultés relationnelles avec ses amis comme avec son frère et ses parents, loin de l'abattre, provoquent chez elle une débauche créative.
