00:00Tottenham Hotspur are entering a fresh era under Thomas Frank and the Danish coach's arrival
00:07has sparked intrigue about how he will shape the club's identity.
00:12Known for his tactical flexibility and emphasis on high-energy, intelligent football,
00:18Frank has already begun implementing a culture built on togetherness and adaptability.
00:23With the Premier League demanding both resilience and invention,
00:28Frank's test will be to develop a side capable of competing in the top tier
00:32while maintaining the positive front foot style he is renowned for.
00:37For more insight into Frank's early steps in North London,
00:41we spoke to James Trenbath of London World who believes the new manager's clear communication
00:46and attention to detail could be the key turning point for Spurs to become genuine contenders.
00:53If you had to look at the Spurs squad and pick maybe someone as a prediction
00:58who you feel that Frank could get the very best out of and really could have a breakthrough season,
01:03is there anyone that stands out in terms of names in this side that you could see?
01:08If we look at Brentford, the impact he had on Buemo and Wisser as well,
01:12the sort of output they got there and then obviously Tony before him as well
01:16and then Ollie Watkins before that as well.
01:19So, there's plenty of players who have really gained a lot of confidence under Thomas Frank
01:24and that's surely a positive for Spurs.
01:27It is and I think I'm really intrigued to see what he does with Archie Gray.
01:31He's obviously a huge, huge fan of Archie Gray.
01:34He played a lot of football last year, not in his rightful position.
01:38He was in and out for England at the Euros and a lot of Spurs fans are now sort of writing him off
01:42and, you know, thinking he's not the player that he was when we brought him in.
01:46But I still think he's a heck of a talent and, you know, you speak to any Leeds fans
01:51and they'll tell you exactly the same.
01:52So, I think if there's one player that I'm really looking forward to seeing develop under Thomas Frank,
01:57it will be Archie Gray.
01:58Be interested to see what he does with Lucas Bergwell as well.
02:01Obviously, he was the sort of breakthrough star last season.
02:05And then, you know, there's the likes of Mikey Moore.
02:08There's the new centre-back, Voskovic, who's just come in.
02:11If he sticks around and doesn't go out on loan again,
02:13his numbers are off the charts for a young player.
02:16So, you know, there's certainly some interesting players in the squad at the moment
02:21and, you know, whether they go out on loan or not remains to be seen.
02:26And then you've got the likes of Jamie Donnelly as well.
02:27He played very, very well last year on loan at Leighton Orient.
02:30Had a brilliant pre-season for Spurs, actually, last season,
02:33but was playing at left-back for some reason,
02:35despite being a sort of attacking midfielder.
02:37So, does he stick around, maybe get a chance in some of the cup games?
02:41But, yeah, it's going to be very, very intriguing to see how things start to develop.
02:47Yeah, let's just touch on Matthias Tell specifically.
02:50Obviously, £30 million coming in the door from Bayern Munich.
02:53He obviously was on loan and they've made that permanent.
02:56Do you feel this maybe is a deal that's slightly gone under the radar?
02:59You know, he's 20 years of age.
03:01He's got so much, looks like a bright future ahead of him to be signed for those figures as well.
03:08I mean, obviously, he didn't quite work at Bayern Munich over his spell there.
03:11But, you know, he looked quite comfortable when he did come in on loan.
03:15And he's certainly got this sort of dynamic style that he can play sort of across that front line as well,
03:20which could work really well for Spurs this season.
03:23Yeah, I mean, you know, we've got the price down on him.
03:25I think that was important.
03:26But what I would say, and I think probably a number of Spurs fans are perhaps in the same camp.
03:30I'm a little bit on the fence with it.
03:32I'd say the jury's still out of touch.
03:34Hard to gauge, you know, where he was at really coming in in January.
03:38Difficult time for Spurs with all the injuries, a lot of poor form.
03:41He was utilised as a sort of front man rather than off the left, which is his favoured position.
03:47So, you know, we certainly haven't seen the best of him yet.
03:49And what you would say is, you know, coming in in January, it's given him that time in terms of almost like a mini pre-season,
03:54if you like, getting embedded in.
03:57But, you know, he's an interesting player.
03:59He's an interesting player.
04:00Certainly got some talent.
04:01He's shown flashes at the European Under-21 Championships this month.
04:04He scored a couple of really, really good goals.
04:06And the same for Wilson Odebeur.
04:08I actually think Odebeur feels like he's got a little bit more talent in terms of what Spurs are looking for.
04:14You know, he's got the ability to beat a man.
04:17You know, he's extremely quick, can play off both sides.
04:20Again, don't buy injury.
04:21So I think, you know, the two Frenchmen there certainly have got potential.
04:25But again, it goes back to that consistency.
04:28And Frank wants him, let's have a look at him in pre-season when he comes back to training in a couple of weeks.
04:32And, yeah, big season ahead.
04:34And I think there's a big season for a number of Spurs players this season in terms of, you know, can they kick on now?
04:39They're showing flashes of talent.
04:41But we need consistency and we need, obviously, results.
