We reveal surprising findings from a new survey on tea habits across Europe, including how Britain’s brew preferences compare.

00:00Britain's love of tea is famous, but we're not the biggest tea drinkers in Europe.

00:07According to the latest YouGov Eurotrack survey, Germans top the list with only 13% saying

00:13they never drink tea, followed by Swedes at 19%.

00:18Britain comes third, with 22% avoiding it altogether.

00:21Breakfast tea is our clear favourite, chosen by 54% of Britain's, while Earl Grey and Green

00:27tea each register at 18%.

00:30Women and older people are more likely to have a brew, with just 19% of over 65s saying they

00:35never drink tea, compared to one third of 18 to 24 year olds.

00:39When it comes to how we take our cuppa, British drinkers favour milkier blends.

00:4385% of breakfast and Earl Grey drinkers add milk, whereas Germans are more likely to sweeten

00:48with sugar at 45%.

00:51Despite new varieties and younger people experimenting, Britain's tea habits remain rooted in tradition.
