00:04is Matthew Stafford.

00:06And I don't know if Sean McVay is getting bad information.

00:11I don't know if he is trying to publicly push Stafford

00:16a certain direction and it's not working.

00:19But what I do know is if Sean McVay tells everyone

00:24Stafford will be back at practice on Monday

00:27and then Stafford is not back at practice on Monday

00:31and instead is in a cryo chamber

00:34that at least he's been trying to find a link for the whole show,

00:37then that means something went wrong.

00:40That means something went wrong.

00:44I don't know if I've level checked with you.

00:47Concern level on Matthew Stafford.

00:49And this was the concern, though, can I just say,

00:52a couple of years ago when he had the arm issue

00:55and they tacked a five and a half win total on L.A.

00:57and everybody said, you know what?

00:59Stafford's done.

01:00I bought them at that time.

01:02They go and win 10 games.

01:04They double it up last year and win the West 10 and 7 overall.

01:07Now everybody's on Matt Stafford and the L.A. Rams, right?

01:11The only problem is he's two years older.

01:13He's got a neck injury.

01:14And that's an issue for me back in this team long term.

01:18I would not back Matt Stafford in terms of the props market.

01:21I wouldn't back the L.A. Rams to win or go to an NFC championship

01:26or a wild card.

01:27That's me.

01:27I'm not willing to bank on him being 100% healthy

01:31when we saw Daniel Jones with a neck injury

01:34and he never made it through a regular season.

01:36And it took him multiple years.

01:37And I understand it could be different.

01:39But when we're talking about a neck for a starting quarterback

01:42and a disc issue, that is a huge cause of concern for me.

01:47I mean, how can you back that?

01:50You don't know what you're going to get?

01:52I don't mean to laugh.

01:53Look, part of it is because of just you.

01:57I don't know if you've ever related to a football player more in your life

02:00with the neck, the back.

02:02You know what I mean?

02:04Here's where I'm at on Stafford.

02:05Let me ask you this.

02:06If it was Garoppolo, drop off in production,

02:10you feel confident, Jimmy?

02:12I don't.

02:13It's real simple.

02:15Well, if you all of a sudden end up with Jimmy G,

02:19they could be a buy over the win total, make the playoffs.

02:23But it'll be the same fate where when it was –

02:27and I know Goff didn't make a Super Bowl.

02:29And I know Jimmy Garoppolo's made a Super Bowl.

02:32But it'll come down to it where you go,

02:34they're not going to win the Super Bowl.

02:36Ultimately, Jimmy G, in this situation,

02:38is not going to win this team a Super Bowl.

02:40That'll be how we feel.

02:41They'd be plateaued.

02:43But again, so the win total, right, nine and a half.

02:45If it went to seven and a half, you'd like over.

02:50Because of the defense and the rushing attack with Kyron Williams,

02:53they still have Puka and the addition of Devontae Adams.

02:56You would hope that Jimmy G could lead them to at least eight wins.

03:06I feel as if Matt Stafford never playing another NFL game is on the board.

03:12But that's how I feel.

03:14Matthew Stafford has kept an eye towards the exit door for a couple years now

03:18as he gets a little bit older.

03:19Again, Tom Brady kind of, I think, ruined the math on some of this stuff.

03:22They're like, ah, Stafford's got five more years left.

03:24Absolutely not.

03:25Absolutely not.

03:26Rogers maybe should have retired four years ago whenever.

03:30I know he was one of the MVPs, but somewhere in that window.

03:32So, I, we were able to talk to Doc on Game Time last week.

03:39And he basically, when I was able to gather from Doc, there's no telling that this goes away.

03:45It's a lingering issue.

03:46He's like, oh, he plays week one.

03:47He looks great.

03:48Cool.

03:48Week four.

03:49Bad hit.

03:49Done for the season.

03:50Right.

03:50So, I agree with you.

03:52It's a sell.

03:53And I wish we could get alts a little bit juicier.

03:56But, like, his season-long player props, I'm surprised some books are still hanging this thing.

04:00Well, they are because, again, he's not ruled out.

04:03The concern is he goes for some epidurals.

04:06You relieve some of the pressure.

04:08The disc alleviates.

04:10And there's the pain.

04:11It subsides.

04:12But, to your point, he could get hit one way and then all of a sudden out for the year.
