00:01Hi, honey.
00:03Piglet was originally from Pasadena.
00:06He was in their shelter when the Eaton fire started.
00:10Because of the huge influx of animals,
00:13they had a need to, like, quickly evacuate
00:16all of the animals who were able to be evacuated.
00:19But Piglet came on a transport.
00:22I focus on taking in the most needy kittens.
00:27He was definitely confused when he first got here.
00:30I'm lucky to have a nursery that can provide a lot of space,
00:33a lot of comfort.
00:34Once he settled in, which happened pretty quickly,
00:37he found himself, you know, to be very happy here.
00:41He is absolutely wild.
00:47All he does is play all day.
00:49He will run around, like, as if he doesn't have a broken limb.
00:53Are you hunting me right now?
00:55Why do I feel like you're hunting me?
00:57Oh, you're definitely hunting me.
00:59This whole region is coming together
01:01to alleviate the shelters that are the most affected.
01:05Every single shelter and rescue in the Los Angeles area
01:09would be happy to have more foster parents.
01:12If you have space for a cat or a dog,
01:14there's a really great need.
01:16If you're interested in fostering kittens, like Piglet or Younger,
01:20now is the time to be getting your name on those lists
01:23and start, you know, learning about kitten care.
01:26And even after the fires are put out,
01:28this is going to affect shelters in L.A. for the entire year,
01:32because our help is going to be needed for months and months to come.
01:36Okay.
01:38Oh, my goodness.
01:40You've got to calm down.
01:46That's too crazy.
