01:09And we are in search of a secret bothy. And this is a properly secret bothy, like no one,
01:19apart from the locals, know about it. Not on any OS maps, it's not on any websites. Proper
01:25bothy, proper secret.
01:27Right, just got to walk up this hill, through the woodland, and find the bothy. Rumour has
01:39it, this might have been a former cult hangout, when it was originally built. Not sure about
01:48that one. We're here. Got a few holes in the roof.
02:02It does look a bit ominous, doesn't it? See if anyone's home.

02:33Upon entering, it's immediately evident that the shelter has seen visitors before. There's
02:37leftover firewood, a makeshift table and debris scattered across the floor. But among these
02:42typical signs, one unsettling detail stands out. Burnt pages from a Bible lying on the ground,
02:49casting a dark and ominous tone over the space. Despite the disturbing find, she moves forward
02:55with preparations for the night, sealing the windows with plastic sheeting to keep out the
03:00wind and trying to patch up the leaking roof. Her aim is to make the shelter as livable as
03:05possible for an overnight stay.
03:07Uh, first job, I think is fix the windows. Second job, fix the roof. Third job, gonna get some wood.
03:18Quite like this idea here. And what they've done is got a tarp and then used logs on the other
03:25side to create a weight, so it hangs off. Well, I think I'm going to copy that technique.
03:35I think that'll do. They're bone dry. So, to fix the window, I've bought, it's just like a
03:43poly pocket thing, so I'm going to cut to size of the window and then just tape it up.
03:55And we go. Not perfect, but it's better than it was. I'll just tidy up the edges a little bit, but other than that, I think that's pretty good.
04:05Next job is to sort the roof out. Might be a little bit more of a challenge, but we'll see.
04:11Okay, so I've hung that off the main rafter. That's not looking too bad, is it?

28:50Welcome back people, back here at this camp, I've been here many times, check out my other
28:58videos, it's winter as you can tell, got the big bag, huge bag, but I'll tell you what's
29:06in it, there's bottled water, couple beers, well three beers, phone chargers, little stove
29:14and a cup, first aid kit and torches, and then you've got the lightweight two man nightcap
29:22tent, and a big warm sleeping bag, and the base layer, oh and my jumper's in there, and
29:30that's pretty much it, not a lot, I've got sausages to fry up, I've got a frying pan, so I'm having
29:36that for dinner, I want to move that forward, as my last camp, I was thinking, need to move
29:45that forward for the winter, because the seat's over there, and that's just too far away, so
29:52I've got to put it about there.
30:06five, six, six, nine, seven, seven, eight, eight, eight, eight, nine, nine, eight, nine,
30:34So I've moved the fire wall a bit closer, that behind there is just a grill I've got.
30:53I've done the logs in reverse order, basically the top was at the bottom, blah blah blah,
30:58but the top, definitely the top ones quite rotted.
31:03So I've changed them around, put the stronger, better one at the bottom, poled them up, so
31:09obviously these ones were at the bottom getting wet and rotting, and whenever I find a replacement
31:16I can just take the top off and replace it a lot easier.
31:33Equipped with a lightweight two person tent, warm sleeping gear, and necessary supplies,
31:38everything appeared to be on track.
31:41Upon arrival, the creator began setting up camp, adjusting the fire to suit the colder weather
31:46and pitching the tent.
31:47However, frustration soon arose as he struggled with the tent set up.
31:51Despite the challenges, the tent was finally secured, and the campsite was prepared for the night.
31:57So I've got to park in half an hour, an hour, got the tent, look at that.
32:03They've got my bag in there, that's what's pressing against that.
32:07Yeah, I don't like this tent much.
32:09And over there I've got a really cheap, nasty tarp, I use it for painting and decorating.
32:15You can see the white paint on there, and they say it's not meant to rain but with all the clouds
32:26and I thought I'd bring that tarp it's lightweight, it doesn't matter if I use it or not, or if
32:32it gets ruined.
32:33So yeah, that's the tent, I haven't done my sleep system yet, I could do that any time.
32:39It's just basic winter kit.
32:44Little logs, pencil size, thicker and bigger logs.
32:48Move the fire wall closer, that and the black bags, my grill.
32:54Yeah, that's better isn't it, sitting there.
32:58Because last winter it wasn't really getting the heat, you had to chuck a lot of wood in
33:02them to sit there and get the heat, so I'm hoping that's better.
33:07Still fire back enough for the summer, because you know, you don't want to get too hot.
