00:01:58Caroline
00:01:59you must be wrong
00:02:02wrong. That woman ran off 10 years ago. She would never come back. Ben, hi. Did you get any new
00:02:14information? Nine years ago, when the founder of STM got sick out of nowhere, that's when the
00:02:20internal fighting started. I think your parents' deaths are connected to all this. Who's involved
00:02:24in the conflict? John's mother and his cousin, Victor, are still in competition. John started
00:02:29EM five years ago, and he's really made a name for himself in AI. His mother's backing him in his
00:02:34rivalry with his cousin. The AI contest Leo's participating in today is sponsored by the
00:02:39EM company. You and John might run into each other. You should get ready. What? I have to go help her.
00:02:50It's amazing. Today's champion is young Leo, who's just 10 years old, and he has managed to code
00:03:01an AI problem that hasn't been solved for over three years.
00:03:15Congrats, kiddo.
00:03:20Dad! I finally found you!
00:03:34What gutter did this little rat crawl out of? Are you calling everyone dad?
00:03:39Elena, he's just a child.
00:03:41I'm sorry. I just acted out of impulse. I'm afraid the media is going to catch wind and ruin your reputation.
00:03:48Are you all right?
00:03:52Who gave you the green light to touch my son?
00:03:59John.
00:04:01Kiss me, John.
00:04:09John.
00:04:11John.
00:04:11Kiss me, you betrayed me.
00:04:24You.
00:04:26Caroline.
00:04:31Caroline.
00:04:32Caroline!
00:04:34When did you return?
00:04:36Why didn't you tell us?
00:04:38We could have hosted you.
00:04:39You don't need to be fake and put on a whole show.
00:04:43John and I are getting married, so I guess now that you're back, you can come to the wedding.
00:04:49No, thank you. We don't have time for petty affairs. Come on now.
00:04:53Wait.
00:04:55Why did you come back?
00:04:58You're daydreaming.
00:04:59John, you lied.
00:05:12How much do you know about my parents' death?
00:05:20Mom, Dad, why did you jump?
00:05:23I'm going to make those responsible at STM Group pay for what they did.
00:05:34Let go of me.
00:05:36You have no right to ask me that.
00:05:40Stay away from me.
00:05:41Why did you just up and leave without saying anything?
00:05:43Did you find another man with more money?
00:05:45Don't you dare talk to me that way.
00:05:57You don't get to act all high and mighty now that you're rich.
00:06:00You know why I left.
00:06:01No, I don't.
00:06:02We've spoken in ten years.
00:06:04Hey.
00:06:08Are you alright?
00:06:10Who do you think you are?
00:06:11Let's go.
00:06:14Mom and Dad's meeting didn't go great.
00:06:16I don't want to waste my time talking to them.
00:06:21See?
00:06:23Even though she's back, she still has another man's jacket.
00:06:27Come on.
00:06:32I'm curious about what Caroline's been up to for the last ten years she's been away.
00:06:38How's your cat investigation going?
00:06:40She's going to be at Palmer's tonight.
00:06:41Can't get STM group back from Victor without Kay's help.
00:06:45Can you book me a seat?
00:06:46I want to meet this amazing lawyer in person today.
00:06:48Will do.
00:06:54Cheers.
00:06:54Cheers.
00:07:01Thank you for everything yesterday.
00:07:05Of course, but how's it running into your past lane?
00:07:11I can't think of anything else.
00:07:13Except finding the true reason behind my parents' death.
00:07:17I'm going to dig into that.
00:07:20Caroline!
00:07:21I'm so sorry to interrupt your date.
00:07:24Well, it really sucks running into people that annoy you all the time.
00:07:28Are you just trying to rub it in that you're in a nice state with him?
00:07:33Are you out of your mind?
00:07:34It seems like you're following me.
00:07:36Oh, you don't deserve that.
00:07:40We are actually here because we have a very important meeting with the lawyer, Kay.
00:07:47I really don't think she's going to meet you guys.
00:07:51I, uh, I really don't think she's going to meet you guys.
00:07:58And why do you think that?
00:08:02I'm stoked, Ben.
00:08:04Wait a minute.
00:08:07I hope your meeting with Kay goes well.
00:08:11Come on, Ben.
00:08:11If John keeps pushing, he's going to figure out your case sooner or later.
00:08:26Don't worry about it.
00:08:29Let them wait.
00:08:31Just head back to the firm.
00:08:33I've got an appointment with Victor.
00:08:34I'm so sorry, we are closed.
00:08:45Come on, let's go.
00:08:46Hold on.
00:08:49Hello?
00:08:56Okay, let's get in touch with Kay as soon as possible.
00:08:59If she's up for it, we can be flexible on the terms.
00:09:03Okay, let's go.
00:09:04We reached out to Kay.
00:09:08She turned this down.
00:09:09We just have to keep insisting.
00:09:11Grab a gift and bring an invite to EM's anniversary party tomorrow.
00:09:15I'll hand it to Kay myself.
00:09:21Hi.
00:09:22Please go back, Mr. Easton.
00:09:24Kay won't see you.
00:09:25No, I just need five minutes of her time.
00:09:27She doesn't have five minutes.
00:09:28I just need to see Kay just for five minutes.
00:09:34I'm here for my meeting.
00:09:37I might as well go home, cousin.
00:09:41Just give up.
00:09:41Is your contract signed yet?
00:09:44Don't talk like it's official.
00:09:46Okay.
00:09:46He's going to sign a contract today.
00:09:49He's here.
00:09:50Do you want me to?
00:09:50Do you want me to?
00:09:52Okay.
00:09:54Go home.
00:09:54Miss Kay, I've offered you the best deal to join SDM Group.
00:10:04What do you say?
00:10:05As I mentioned, the service fee needs to be increased and I need access to all the confidential files of SDM Group.
00:10:13Otherwise, I can't do my job.
00:10:15Money isn't an issue, but I'm sorry about the access.
00:10:19I can't do anything.
00:10:20I don't have the key to the database.
00:10:23I can't work with a weak partner, Mr. Shaw.
00:10:26You can leave.
00:10:27We can't sign.
00:10:28No, no, no.
00:10:28Miss Kay, I'm your best partner.
00:10:30You better go with me.
00:10:30I'm sorry.
00:10:31I already refused the CEO of EM to me entrance, but he insisted on leaving, but this is for you.
00:10:39Mr. Shaw?
00:10:40Miss Kay has to work.
00:10:41Please leave.
00:10:48Caroline, I found out when the two cousins were competing and John started EM, John's mother
00:10:55secretly transferred a lot of SDM data into EM.
00:10:58So it's possible that the EM company is hiding the truth about your parents' deaths.
00:11:02Tell EM that I'll be at the party.
00:11:05On time.
00:11:09Tell EM that I'll be at the party.
00:11:11On time.
00:11:28You two need to set a date for a wedding.
00:11:32And then have a baby.
00:11:33I'd love to, but I mean, it's really up to John.
00:11:36Let's focus on meeting Kay first.
00:11:40For 10 years you have been leading me on.
00:11:43I want grandchildren.
00:11:44Mom, Kay is coming tonight.
00:11:47I need to go check the preparations.
00:11:49We can talk about this later.
00:11:50Oh, hey, calm down.
00:11:52Kay is the key to John's succession.
00:11:55I, I, I understand.
00:11:58If we could just please Kay this time, everything will turn out fine.
00:12:15She exudes elegance.
00:12:27I heard you had a baby.
00:12:29I'm surprised she kept her figure.
00:12:31Hello, everyone.
00:12:33I'm Kay.
00:12:34As long as we can win her over, victory is secured.
00:12:39But you can call me Caroline.
00:12:49How dare you impersonate Kay?
00:12:53You're a joke.
00:12:55Why would you even pretend to be Kay?
00:12:57Caroline, stop messing around.
00:12:58You know Kay is very important to me.
00:13:00This is a high society party.
00:13:02How does she even get in?
00:13:03I got an invitation from EM.
00:13:07But it seems that EM is not taking our working relationship seriously.
00:13:13Get the hell out of here.
00:13:19Mom, hold on.
00:13:20Let's get things clear first.
00:13:26My parents couldn't have jumped off that building.
00:13:29There wasn't enough evidence to prove otherwise.
00:13:33Your parents' case can only be closed as a suicide.
00:13:39But we did find this at the scene.
00:13:43The scene is too chaotic to prove who was there.
00:13:46This is the only photo captured by the nearby surveillance camera.
00:13:51And although the person is blurred in the photo, the brooch was clearly taken.
00:13:59It's you who seduced my son.
00:14:06Your parents killed themselves.
00:14:08Your small company went bankrupt.
00:14:12You went through school all alone.
00:14:15And then you were an intern at STM.
00:14:18You tried to marry into money.
00:14:21Rebecca was there that night.
00:14:24Could she be the murderer of my parents?
00:14:26A girl from a family like yours is no match for my John.
00:14:32Elena will be his wife.
00:14:35I need to stay and find out the truth.
00:14:38You're daydreaming.
00:14:42You wait.
00:14:43I will have my revenge.
00:14:45You're daydreaming again.
00:14:48Let's not do this.
00:14:51I didn't want to hit an old person.
00:15:01So this was for you, mother.
00:15:06You hit John and called him a cheating womanizer.
00:15:10You need to leave.
00:15:11I will take out your eyes if you speak to me that way again.
00:15:16Which one would you prefer?
00:15:18Your left or your right?
00:15:19Or perhaps both?
00:15:20You're insane.
00:15:21Get her out of here.
00:15:23She's not the real Kay.
00:15:25The real Kay went to Oxford.
00:15:28Oxford is overrated.
00:15:30I am going to teach you a lesson.
00:15:33That's enough.
00:15:35We can discuss these issues another time.
00:15:38Please leave.
00:15:39Now.
00:15:40Are you sure?
00:15:42Not everyone gets the chance to work with me.
00:15:49Woo!
00:15:51Dear aunt and my cousin.
00:15:54What a fabulous company.
00:15:55The two cousins are going to have a real showdown today.
00:15:59No, since my dear cousin wants to kick out Kay.
00:16:02How about you let me have her?
00:16:06What do you think?
00:16:10Now, since my dear cousin wants to kick out Kay.
00:16:15How about you let me have her?
00:16:18Seems like you're not having such a good time at STM.
00:16:22And you have to play tricks on John.
00:16:25Could Caroline really be Kay?
00:16:28No.
00:16:29This must be a trap set by Victor.
00:16:31Please leave.
00:16:34Both of you.
00:16:37Your loss?
00:16:39Victor!
00:16:40Would you like to work with me?
00:16:42It'd be my honor.
00:16:45Great.
00:16:46Meet me tomorrow to sign.
00:16:48Okay.
00:16:48Kay.
00:16:50I'll see you tomorrow on time.
00:16:51I'll see you tomorrow on time.
00:16:57They put on a good show, but we won't fall for it.
00:17:00You got Kay's picture?
00:17:10What do you mean I know her?
00:17:11What did Samuel say?
00:17:21It's Caroline.
00:17:22I don't believe it.
00:17:23I don't believe it.
00:17:27She has nothing.
00:17:28We've been played.
00:17:31Caroline, wait.
00:17:32They're never going to believe I'm Kay.
00:17:38Wait till the right moment.
00:17:40And then release my photo.
00:17:42I'll see you tomorrow on time.
00:17:48My parents were murdered by your mother.
00:17:51You don't even know we have a son.
00:17:54I've spent ten years dreaming of seeing you again.
00:17:56You look beautiful tonight.
00:18:01I see you've learned how to sweet talk women.
00:18:04I gave you a chance.
00:18:06Now get out of my way.
00:18:08No, no, no.
00:18:08Let's talk.
00:18:14No, no, no.
00:18:14Let's talk.
00:18:17What do you want to talk about?
00:18:18You spent ten years working to impress other people.
00:18:21Why?
00:18:23This is what you want to talk about?
00:18:24Don't work for Victor.
00:18:27He's got a crooked heart.
00:18:28He's using you.
00:18:30Look who's talking.
00:18:34I work for whoever pays more.
00:18:3820 million dollars.
00:18:41What?
00:18:42I'll pay you 20 million dollars to be my personal lawyer.
00:18:45You can set any other conditions as long as you don't work for Victor.
00:18:50The contract will be one year.
00:18:51And we'll be done with each other.
00:18:56Besides, I don't like crowds.
00:18:59So I better have a quiet office.
00:19:04If you agree,
00:19:05I'll work with you.
00:19:10Hey, what are you doing?
00:19:11I'm afraid you'll change your mind.
00:19:17What are you doing?
00:19:18I'm afraid you'll change your mind.
00:19:20The contract is signed.
00:19:30Where would you like me to be based?
00:19:36I said I wanted a quiet office.
00:19:40What are you trying to do?
00:19:42In the whole building, nothing is quieter than the president's office.
00:19:46Is this how you treat your partners?
00:19:51I'll have Samuel move out tomorrow.
00:19:54It's getting late.
00:19:56I'm gonna take you home first.
00:19:59I'll put up with it.
00:20:02For the sake of the confidential information.
00:20:04With you under my nose, sooner or later, I'll know the truth about 10 years ago.
00:20:15John, what is she doing in the CEO's office?
00:20:22Caroline is now my personal lawyer.
00:20:24And please watch her language.
00:20:26This spot is reserved for the executive assistant.
00:20:30It's not company policy to have her here.
00:20:32I make EM's rules.
00:20:34Why are you here, Elena?
00:20:37The report from the project department is ready.
00:20:39It needs to be thoroughly evaluated.
00:20:43I guess since you're the lawyer,
00:20:47have the report on my desk by noon.
00:20:51No problem.
00:20:52Caroline, you'll never beat me.
00:20:57Today, Caroline is going to stop by the project department to verify information.
00:21:02Don't let her get off too easily.
00:21:15Sorry, it's fine.
00:21:18Sorry, didn't mean to.
00:21:22I didn't mean to do that either.
00:21:30Sorry, I didn't mean to do that either.
00:21:33You bitch, how dare you hit me?
00:21:36I do not need to know who you are.
00:21:38What you need to know, that your boss invited me here today.
00:21:42Now, should I go get the materials for the project meeting?
00:21:46Or would you like to get them for me?
00:21:49I'll get them for you.
00:21:52Here's a fake document.
00:22:01If it gets to her, the evaluation data will have major issues.
00:22:05Are you sure this is the right one?
00:22:16Mistakes are legally liable.
00:22:19Of course.
00:22:19Okay.
00:22:30Everything is set.
00:22:31I gave her the fake documents.
00:22:33When she finishes her evaluation, make sure to swap the fake documents back.
00:22:37Don't leave any evidence.
00:22:39Got it.
00:22:42Come on, let's go to dinner.
00:22:44Uh, but no, I can't.
00:22:46I have so much work I gotta get done.
00:22:48Come on.
00:22:53Oh, oops, I forgot something.
00:22:55Do you want me to come with you?
00:22:56Oh no, I'm good.
00:23:07Mary?
00:23:10What are you doing?
00:23:11I saw the evaluation report.
00:23:13It's finished and, um, I'm on my way to the director's office.
00:23:16So I thought I'd deliver it for you.
00:23:20Okay.
00:23:27So EM is starting an artificial intelligence project.
00:23:31Leo would be perfect for you.
00:23:33Would you consider him for working in the lab?
00:23:35No.
00:23:36He's too young.
00:23:37He has a talent for math and coding.
00:23:39Whose child is he?
00:23:42He's not your baby.
00:23:45I looked you up.
00:23:46You're not married.
00:23:48Also, Leo is 10 years old.
00:23:50Is that just a coincidence?
00:23:54Ben.
00:23:55What?
00:23:56Ben is Leo's father.
00:23:59It doesn't matter whether or not we're married as long as he loves Leo.
00:24:06Hello?
00:24:07John, the project evaluation report is out.
00:24:09This afternoon S company is going to have a meeting to discuss it.
00:24:12We all need to be there, including Kay.
00:24:15All right.
00:24:16We'll be there.
00:24:18Let's go.
00:24:18The vulnerabilities in the assessment report are so significant.
00:24:29I wonder how she'll get out of this one.
00:24:32Yeah.
00:24:33She is missing the opportunity for cooperation.
00:24:36John's definitely going to blame her.
00:24:38Kay's reputation in the industry will be completely tarnished.
00:24:41No one will dare cooperate with her.
00:24:43Mr. Easton, I have been working with your company for years.
00:24:53And I have never seen an assessment report this terrible.
00:24:56Is this a joke?
00:24:57Mr. Russell, there must be some kind of misunderstanding, but the project's been going very smoothly.
00:25:03This is so unprofessional.
00:25:05It is full of mistakes.
00:25:07That report was written by the top lawyer Kay, so there shouldn't be any issues, right?
00:25:13Caroline, care to explain?
00:25:16How do you explain a lack of professionalism?
00:25:19I'm sorry.
00:25:20I'm afraid this means we can no longer be partners.
00:25:23Mr. Russell, you can't make that decision.
00:25:26What did you just say?
00:25:28Kay's right.
00:25:33Robert, you don't have the qualifications to decide who to cooperate with.
00:25:37Robert, what are you doing here?
00:25:42If I hadn't have come, you would have missed out on a great project.
00:25:45What does President Lynch mean?
00:25:49This is the assessment done by Kay.
00:25:51What you're holding is fake.
00:25:53What?
00:25:55The assessment is flawless.
00:25:57Kay really is as good as they say.
00:25:59Impossible.
00:26:00I could.
00:26:00You say that you knew there was a problem with the assessment file and insisted on giving it to Elena?
00:26:07Or are you surprised that even with the fake data that you gave me, I was able to present a praiseworthy assessment report?
00:26:16You're lying.
00:26:17I didn't do anything.
00:26:20Care to explain this?
00:26:21That's evidence of you sneaking into my office and switching the documents.
00:26:31You tricked me!
00:26:34Mary, you're fired!
00:26:36Mr. President Lynch, this is a misunderstanding.
00:26:56You knew Mary was playing tricks.
00:26:58Why did you let her do something so foolish?
00:27:02It raises questions when someone comes at you for no reason.
00:27:06You've changed.
00:27:07It's hard not to change after everything I've been through alone.
00:27:10Look who's coming.
00:27:32That bitch cost me my job.
00:27:33I'll never let her off the hook.
00:27:36You know, there is an opportunity right now for us to get revenge.
00:27:46Mom, was work smooth yesterday?
00:27:50I had some trouble, but it's all smoothed over now.
00:27:54What about Dad?
00:27:55Did he help you?
00:27:56Leo, I don't want to have to tell you again.
00:27:59John is not your father.
00:28:01I want Dad.
00:28:03John would be good.
00:28:05I'll think it over.
00:28:07Carefully.
00:28:07Now please, eat your breakfast.
00:28:13Mom?
00:28:14We got a problem.
00:28:18Mom?
00:28:19We got a problem.
00:28:21Someone is spreading lies about your mind.
00:28:24I'm trying to harden your reputation.
00:28:27I'll deal with this.
00:28:29You go get ready for school.
00:28:30I saw it.
00:28:31Photos of Caroline and that man.
00:28:32What do you mean, guys?
00:28:40Are those rumors said online true?
00:28:42Of course not.
00:28:44They're rumors.
00:28:45That man richer than me?
00:28:47How much money did he give you?
00:28:48You know what, John?
00:28:50He did give me more.
00:28:51And he's better in bed than you.
00:28:53Are you satisfied?
00:28:54Where did he touch you?
00:29:00Was it here?
00:29:03Or here?
00:29:07What made you so promiscuous these last 10 years?
00:29:11You've got me all wrong, John.
00:29:13Move!
00:29:14You're so stupid.
00:29:26You can't even see such an obvious trap.
00:29:30What's this?
00:29:31You know what to do next, right?
00:29:34Why give it to me?
00:29:35Because compared to others, you're a good candidate to be my dad.
00:29:40You need to win my mom's title.
00:29:42This is my phone number.
00:29:44You can contact me anytime.
00:29:46I'll give it to you.
00:29:51I'll turn my mom back.
00:29:51Hand over all the evidence to the police and let Mary know there's consequences for spreading rumors.
00:29:58I looked into the transfer of the VM company's database.
00:30:02And I found evidence that your parents were killed.
00:30:04The problem is, the information is at the core of the VM, which is nearly impossible to access.
00:30:10You go first. I'll figure it out.
00:30:12No, I'm going with you. You can't do this by yourself.
00:30:15And, candidly, I don't trust John.
00:30:18I think he still has feelings for you.
00:30:20Don't forget.
00:30:22I'm still your boss.
00:30:31Caroline, I want to apologize for my behavior just now.
00:30:35I know you're not that kind of person.
00:30:37Mr. Easton, if there's nothing else, I'd like to get back to work.
00:30:41I've already sent the person who spread those rumors to prison.
00:30:44Would you send your mother to prison for me?
00:30:47Caroline, I'm sincerely trying to apologize.
00:30:52Your apology is worthless.
00:30:55I know my behavior was offensive and my attitude towards you was wrong.
00:31:00But I was just angry that you disappeared for ten years.
00:31:03But I've come to realize I can't help but care for you, Caroline.
00:31:07Can we start over?
00:31:09You and your employees have something against me.
00:31:13There isn't the slightest bit of trust.
00:31:15And you want to start over?
00:31:17This is the key to the company's database, which grants you access to all the core files.
00:31:28I'm giving it to you.
00:31:30He actually trusts me with this.
00:31:36Willing to hand over the core of the company to me.
00:31:43You don't have to do this.
00:31:45It's okay.
00:31:46I've waited ten years.
00:31:48I can wait a little longer.
00:31:50If you must blame someone, blame your mother for killing my parents.
00:32:20This is the contract signed between Rebecca and my parents' company.
00:32:44With a price three times higher.
00:32:47My parents' death wasn't an accident.
00:32:49I know what you want.
00:32:52If you cooperate with me, I promise I'll make sure that John's mother spends the rest of her life in prison.
00:32:59How can I trust you?
00:33:00Because I'm competing with John for the same position of CEO of the STM Corporation.
00:33:06I think we would make great partners.
00:33:09I'll get you an answer soon.
00:33:19John?
00:33:20John?
00:33:21John?
00:33:22What are you doing in my house?
00:33:24Mom, I asked them to come over.
00:33:26Because the light bulb was broken.
00:33:29And he came to fix it.
00:33:30Well, it looks like the light bulb is fixed.
00:33:36So you can leave.
00:33:37Are you okay?
00:33:38You don't look well.
00:33:39Do you need to take a few days off to rest?
00:33:40I'm fine.
00:33:41I would appreciate if you did not come into my home without an invitation.
00:33:42Mom, tomorrow the school is hosting a parent-child activity that requires both parents to be present.
00:33:57Can I invite John?
00:33:58Um...
00:33:59I...
00:34:00Mom, all the other kids have a dad.
00:34:03Of course.
00:34:04You can invite him.
00:34:05Awesome.
00:34:06Well, it's getting late.
00:34:07I'll head home now.
00:34:08I'll see you tomorrow, Leo.
00:34:09See you tomorrow, Dad.
00:34:10I made this for you.
00:34:11Oh.
00:34:12Well...
00:34:13Well...
00:34:14It's ugly.
00:34:15But...
00:34:16I appreciate it.
00:34:17John.
00:34:18Tell me.
00:34:19What should I do?
00:34:20Mom!
00:34:21Come quick.
00:34:22Oh, God.
00:34:23I'll go.
00:34:24I'll go.
00:34:25I'll head home now.
00:34:26I'll see you tomorrow, Leo.
00:34:27See you tomorrow, Dad.
00:34:28I made this for you.
00:34:29Oh.
00:34:30Well...
00:34:31It's...
00:34:32Ugly.
00:34:33But...
00:34:34I appreciate it.
00:34:35John.
00:34:36Tell me.
00:34:37What should I do?
00:34:38Mom!
00:34:39Come quick.
00:34:40Oh, God.
00:34:41Okay.
00:34:42The clay figures Dad makes are beautiful.
00:34:43Oh, wow.
00:34:44Here.
00:34:45Make one with us.
00:34:46John.
00:34:47If I send your mother to prison, would you still love me?
00:34:48What are you looking at?
00:34:49Do you want to pursue my mom?
00:34:50What's your idea?
00:34:51No woman can refuse a romantic marriage proposal.
00:34:52I'm not sure.
00:34:53I'm not sure.
00:34:54I'm sure.
00:34:55I'm sure.
00:34:56I'm sure.
00:34:57I'm sure.
00:34:58I'm sure.
00:34:59I'm sure.
00:35:00I'm sure.
00:35:01I'm sure.
00:35:02I'm sure.
00:35:03I'm sure.
00:35:04I'm sure.
00:35:05I'm sure.
00:35:06I'm sure.
00:35:07I'm sure.
00:35:08I'm sure.
00:35:09I'm sure.
00:35:10My mom's birthday is coming up in a few days.
00:35:13You understand what I mean?
00:35:15I understand.
00:35:25Mom, isn't tonight's dinner quite special?
00:35:28Did John do this for me?
00:35:30He still remembers my birthday.
00:35:33Caroline.
00:35:34Why are you here?
00:35:35I'm trying to have a nice dinner with my son.
00:35:38Why are you here?
00:35:39Tonight is John and mine's engagement party.
00:35:43This entire candlelight dinner was prepared for me.
00:35:47So everything was just wishful thinking.
00:35:50Why am I so fantasizing about John?
00:35:53He's gone.
00:35:54Leo.
00:35:55Come on.
00:35:56Let's go.
00:35:57Wait for me.
00:35:58Will you take Leo home?
00:35:59What about you?
00:36:00It's time to put an end to this.
00:36:02Caroline, wait.
00:36:03Look.
00:36:04I don't know what happened to Mickey leave in such a hurry.
00:36:06But what I want to tell you is, even though you left without saying goodbye for ten years, and even though you have a child with someone else, I find that I cannot stop loving you.
00:36:19So...
00:36:20Will you marry me?
00:36:21John, do you enjoy playing with my feelings?
00:36:22No.
00:36:23No.
00:36:24No.
00:36:25No.
00:36:26No.

00:37:12No.
00:37:13No.
00:37:14Victor, let's meet.
00:37:31It's bad, John.
00:37:33Your mother has been arrested by the police.
00:37:38Wait, why was she arrested?
00:37:41She's been accused of murder.
00:37:42Allegedly, she killed two people from W Company ten years ago.
00:37:47Ten years ago?
00:37:49I've seen the records from those people from Company W.
00:37:52Weren't they killed in an accident?
00:37:53How does this have to do with my mother?
00:37:56She was present in the scene of the crime.
00:37:58The two people that died were Caroline's parents.
00:38:02What?
00:38:04Where is Caroline?
00:38:05I can't reach her over the phone.
00:38:06John.
00:38:08I found something suspicious a few days ago.
00:38:12Caroline was seen entering the records room alone.
00:38:15Wait, did she tamper with anything?
00:38:16Find Caroline at all costs.
00:38:19Caroline, this time, I'm going to make sure you disappear from the world forever.
00:38:25That's for what you did at the cocktail party.
00:38:30It was you.
00:38:32Why are you doing this?
00:38:34To get rid of you.
00:38:36Once you're dead, John will be mine forever.
00:38:42Oh, I forgot to tell you.
00:38:44You know that evidence you found in the records room?
00:38:49It was fake.
00:38:50I planted it.
00:38:55Why would you do that?
00:38:57I guess since you're going to die anyway.
00:39:00It doesn't really matter if I tell you.
00:39:03Rebecca?
00:39:05She didn't kill your mother.
00:39:06She's just a scapegoat.
00:39:14Dad!
00:39:15It's bad!
00:39:16Mom's in trouble.
00:39:17I installed the tracking device on her phone,
00:39:19and she's in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts.
00:39:24I think she's been kidnapped!
00:39:26Don't worry, Leo.
00:39:27I'll save your mom.
00:39:29I've been hating the wrong person this whole time.
00:39:33Time for regret now.
00:39:35John's here.
00:39:36We need to get out of here.
00:39:37Wait.
00:39:39There is something I have to do.
00:39:43We're not in the tracker, are we?
00:39:49No.
00:39:50Elena!
00:39:51Elena!
00:39:53Elena, let's talk about this!
00:39:55Elena!
00:39:56Elena!
00:39:59You're fucking crazy!
00:40:03Go to hell, Caroline.
00:40:12Help someone, Amazon!
00:40:14Elena, what are you doing here?
00:40:16Is Caroline inside?
00:40:18Oh, my eye out a check.
00:40:19There's no one inside.
00:40:23Elena, what are you doing here?
00:40:25Is Caroline inside?
00:40:27Oh, my eye out a check.
00:40:29There's no one inside.
00:40:30I need a check inside.
00:40:33Oh, my eye out a check.
00:40:34I can't breathe.
00:40:35You okay?
00:40:37Okay, come on.
00:40:41Time!
00:40:42Time!
00:40:42Save me!
00:40:45Shit!
00:40:47All right.
00:40:48All right.
00:40:55That's all.
00:40:56How did she not die in the fire?
00:41:09Caroline, are you all right?
00:41:12That's really none of your business.
00:41:14How is it none of my business?
00:41:15I've been looking for you everywhere, and you're here with Victor.
00:41:19Did you also put my mother in prison?
00:41:20No.
00:41:25Yes.
00:41:26Now, would you stop bothering me?
00:41:28You got close to me to use Victor against me.
00:41:31You left me to die in there!
00:41:33You used me!
00:41:35It's because I never left you.
00:41:41Why don't you handle your business?
00:41:42That won't bother you anymore.
00:41:46John, I'm having trouble for you.
00:41:50Can you stay with me?
00:41:51Please?
00:41:52Please?
00:41:53If you're hurt, go see a doctor.
00:41:55Alina was right.
00:42:02The contract you photographed in the records room, I was tampered with.
00:42:06I was reckless.
00:42:07I fell into a trap.
00:42:09Used as a pawn.
00:42:10Someone else murdered my parents.
00:42:15Keep an eye on Alina.
00:42:17Let me know.
00:42:18Alina, for the sake of exposing the real murderer, I'll let you live for now.
00:42:29Why would you let that bitch live?
00:42:31Didn't we agree to get rid of her?
00:42:32She's more valuable alive than dead.
00:42:36Besides, if she were dead, would you still help me?
00:42:39Our friendship has always just been a partnership.
00:42:50Don't take it too seriously.
00:42:54John, kiss me.
00:42:57You betrayed me.
00:43:02Hey.
00:43:05First you use me, and then you push me away.
00:43:07Oh, I'm going to be heartbroken.
00:43:10Aw.
00:43:11Thanks for playing along.
00:43:14Don't forget.
00:43:15You're not the real John.
00:43:28You wicked woman.
00:43:30I'll definitely let everyone see your true face.
00:43:37Are you better?
00:43:41You're in such a hurry to leave the hospital.
00:43:44Were you going to leave without saying goodbye?
00:43:45Or were you going to see Victor?
00:43:47I understand that I have made mistakes.
00:43:51I will restore your mother's innocence.
00:43:55And when she is released from prison, I will leave EM.
00:43:59Then we don't know each other anything.
00:44:03Do you really want to leave like this again?
00:44:05John.
00:44:09Let's let each other go.
00:44:10We've been running the case.
00:44:26Did you suffer in prison?
00:44:28You've been working so hard.
00:44:31Prison gave me time to think.
00:44:34I want a grandchild.
00:44:37You two need to get married as soon as possible.
00:44:40Mom.
00:44:41Do you want me to die before I meet my grandchild?
00:44:47I promise.
00:44:48Caroline.
00:45:02John and I are getting married soon, so you must come and celebrate.
00:45:09Oh, um, congratulations.
00:45:13Why don't we celebrate tonight?
00:45:15Sure.
00:45:17Great.
00:45:17I will get back to work.
00:45:27My letter of resignation.
00:45:32I'll put the money for the penalty in your account tomorrow, and I'll leave.
00:45:37For Victor?

00:52:13caroline
00:52:15boss
00:52:16our r&d data from our AI project has been leaked
00:52:24how could it have leaked?
00:52:25do you know what company has access to the data?
00:52:27it's a company run by victor
00:52:30but most importantly
00:52:31go ahead say it
00:52:34elena
00:52:36she's been released on bail
00:52:37and it seems she's the one to help that victor
00:52:40of course elena is involved in this
00:52:43is that a problem?
00:52:44when i was kidnapped
00:52:46elena told me that someone else had murdered my parents
00:52:50and then victor saved me
00:52:52it's not a coincidence that they're together now
00:52:55and if i can remember correctly
00:52:57victor was the person behind the scenes on the construction project that SDM closed
00:53:00collaborate on with W company
00:53:03there must be some connection
00:53:05victor was behind the scenes this whole time
00:53:07i always thought someone else was in charge of that project
00:53:10now it all makes sense
00:53:13victor is probably the real murderer of my parents
00:53:19why would he do that?
00:53:21if it only had to do with the internal strife of the successors
00:53:26what does that have to do with my parents?
00:53:32john
00:53:34do you like the first big gift i've given you?
00:53:37get to it
00:53:38if you're willing to marry me
00:53:44i'll stop
00:53:46and i'll tell you all of victor's company's business secrets
00:53:49how about that?
00:53:51elena
00:53:52your actions are so childish
00:53:54trying to threaten me with this?
00:53:56john
00:53:58you'll regret it
00:54:00was that elena? what did she want?
00:54:03nothing
00:54:04she was just trying to manipulate me
00:54:08i have to stay and find out if victor is the real murderer of my parents
00:54:12i'm gonna put him in jail and make sure he receives the punishment he deserves
00:54:16now the most important thing is to get through this crisis
00:54:20our R&D project took three years
00:54:22if we want to find new talent to redevelop
00:54:25i'm afraid it's too late
00:54:27i need to think about what to do next
00:54:30our company is facing being taken over as it is
00:54:37you guys forgot about me
00:54:39rio?
00:54:40rebecca what are you doing here?
00:54:45didn't dad hold an AI competition to find some core R&D personnel for the artificial intelligence project?
00:54:59leo insisted
00:55:01he is concerned that EM is in trouble and he wants to help
00:55:05leo?
00:55:07do you really think you can handle that?
00:55:10i believe in leo
00:55:11i believe in myself too
00:55:12i don't know how you little kid can help but he doesn't hurt Trent
00:55:15come on
00:55:21leo is already handling things at the R&D center
00:55:23we can't just sit idly by
00:55:25what do you mean?
00:55:27i am a shareholder at STM
00:55:31here is a key to the data center
00:55:35take it
00:55:37and let the truth come to light
00:55:39you need a resolution from all shareholders sent to the database?
00:55:53do you have it?
00:55:55you're just an administrator
00:55:57i am a shareholder
00:55:59if anything were to happen i don't think you can take the risk
00:56:01so step aside
00:56:17found it
00:56:24turns out there was a problem with the project that collaborated with STM back then
00:56:27my parents wanted to report the person in charge of embezzling the funds for the project
00:56:34which led to their silence
00:56:37Victor destroyed this footage from the scene and lured my mom to the site to make her look like the murderer
00:56:43what a vicious method
00:56:45let go of me
00:56:46let go of me
00:56:51let go of me
00:56:53Victor what are you doing?
00:56:54oh i suspect there are suspicious individuals invading the records room
00:56:58attempting to leak out STM's trade secrets
00:57:03what?
00:57:05as one of the heirs is there anything wrong with me reviewing the documents?
00:57:08oh but of course not you can investigate as much as you want
00:57:11i was talking about her
00:57:12without proof it's defamation
00:57:18why in such a hurry?
00:57:19it's just a routine interrogation right?
00:57:22you're not guilty are you?
00:57:25afraid to cooperate with the law?
00:57:27i'm not afraid of anything
00:57:29i hope you don't regret your actions
00:57:32officers take her out of here
00:57:36call ben
00:57:37he'll know what to do
00:57:39ah!
00:57:41evan
00:57:43let's go
00:57:45you know

00:57:49if you do

00:57:55get out of here
00:58:01get out of here
00:58:06victor is paying the police we can't let him get away with this
00:58:10we gotta find a way to get caroline out of there
00:58:16caroline's been arrested she needs your help
00:58:18let's meet up at EM
00:58:19victor's definitely trying to pin everything on caroline
00:58:24what we need to do is gather all the evidence we can to prove caroline's innocence and defend her in court
00:58:29and the problem is victor doesn't leave a trace
00:58:32every crime leaves a trace
00:58:34and victor won't be an exception
00:58:36do you know the relationship between robber and caroline?
00:58:39we've been friends for years but what's that got to do with proving caroline's innocence?
00:58:42well when elena framed caroline for the problematic evaluation report
00:58:46they were dealing with an executive named peter
00:58:49what are you implying?
00:58:51wrong at the time
00:58:52he and elena had a good relationship
00:58:54perhaps
00:58:56he could be the breakthrough
00:58:58i'll call robert and set up a meeting with you too
00:58:59if it weren't for caroline being in prison i want to consider meeting with you
00:59:08go ahead
00:59:10what do you want to know?
00:59:12there's an executive in your company named peter
00:59:14where is he?
00:59:16after what he and elena did
00:59:18which severely affected the company's interests
00:59:21i fired him
00:59:23and he ended up in prison for robbery
00:59:25robbery?
00:59:27his mother is severely ill
00:59:29and after leaving s group
00:59:31he didn't have enough money to pay for his mother's illness
00:59:33he took the wrong path
00:59:37thank you
00:59:39once this is over
00:59:41i'm planning on proposing to caroline
00:59:43i hope you won't stand in the way of that
00:59:44what do you want with me?

01:00:48do you plead guilty?
01:00:50i do not plead guilty, your honor, i did not do it
01:00:52do you have evidence to prove this?
01:00:55i was involved with the companies that are mentioned in the case but i have not entered internally any of the client offices
01:01:05how could i have leaked the secrets?
01:01:09when cooperating with EM you were placed in the internal offices not long after core research from EM's artificial intelligence project was leaked
01:01:19as a former director of EM and as victor's current employee i have reason to suspect that you are the one who leaked the secrets
01:01:32but i don't have the key to EM's database
01:01:35you do
01:01:37plus i have video evidence showing you entering the database
01:01:41so
01:01:42wait, given this evidence is conclusive i am now
01:01:45wait

01:02:04my name is peter russell
01:02:06and i can prove that caroline has committed no crimes
01:02:09what evidence you have
01:02:10what evidence do you have?
01:02:17victor and elena have threatened me and my mother to sabotage caroline in the evaluation meetings
01:02:24and i overheard elena plotting to frame caroline and i have her own recording
01:02:31what is this?

01:03:43I'll see you in heaven.
01:03:45Ben, rest assured, your death will not be in vain.
01:03:55I will punish them with the law.
01:03:59Leo has already broken through the core problem of AI.
01:04:02It's time to let Victor taste the pain of losing everything.
01:04:05The licensing should be done in about a week and one second.
01:04:19What's the matter?
01:04:20Why do you feel so flustered?
01:04:21Hey, John has enlisted the help of a master's in mathematical algorithms who has already broken through to the key research and development of artificial intelligence.
01:04:27I mean, our stock prices have plummeted to the critical point, and he's already here with the authorities to investigate the company.
01:04:32Thank God, I thought it was something serious.
01:04:34I already transferred all the funds.
01:04:36They won't be able to find anything.
01:04:38Well, they also found evidence of you murdering an employee to embezzle that project fund years ago.
01:04:43Uh, I'll call you right back.
01:04:45Boss, you should flee now.
01:04:47Shh, did you do what I told you?
01:04:49The doctor's been paid.
01:04:50I mean, the files are ready.
01:05:07They must have gotten wind of it and fled early.

01:05:17Do you have it?
01:05:20This is all I can do for you.

01:05:39Leo?
01:05:41Leo?
01:05:44He's not here.
01:05:50If you want Leo to live, come to the warehouse on the outskirts.
01:05:58What happened?
01:06:00Victor has taken Leo.
01:06:01What?
01:06:03Don't worry.
01:06:04I'll get him back.
01:06:06I'm coming with you.
01:06:11It's here.
01:06:13Let's do this.
01:06:16Leo!
01:06:17Leo!
01:06:18Hey!
01:06:21Victor.
01:06:22Please.
01:06:24I'll do anything you want.
01:06:26Just don't hurt Leo.
01:06:28It's mesmerizing seeing you beg me.
01:06:31Victor, take it out on me.
01:06:34Don't hurt Leo.
01:06:35John, you were always better at everything since we were little kids.
01:06:40Even Elena likes you.
01:06:42Why?
01:06:43You have everything.
01:06:47And then at the end, I got nothing?
01:06:50Victor!
01:06:51Calm down.
01:06:53Let's just talk this through.
01:06:54No, John.
01:06:55No, no, no.
01:06:56There's no going back.
01:06:58See, you make my life miserable.
01:07:01Now, it's my turn to make yours miserable.
01:07:04You're gonna lose everything.
01:07:05John!
01:07:06It's my turn to make yours miserable.
01:07:12You're gonna lose everything.
01:07:14Victor!
01:07:14Victor!
01:07:15Wait!
01:07:16Don't do anything impulsive.
01:07:19Elena is using you.
01:07:20She's exploiting your love.
01:07:22Victor.
01:07:23No.
01:07:23Victor, do you want the CO position to STM?
01:07:27If you put down the gun, I will step down.
01:07:30Stop fucking lying to me!
01:07:31You think I'm gonna believe your lies?
01:07:34I'm gonna give you two choices.
01:07:39Shut up!
01:07:43Either you kill Caroline, or I'm gonna kill your son.
01:07:48You only can't save one.
01:07:51What are you saying?
01:07:53My kid?
01:07:54You didn't know Leo's your son?
01:07:57How fucking pathetic is that?
01:07:59Caroline, is this true?
01:08:00Is he really my son?
01:08:02You've been deceived too, haven't you?
01:08:03Yeah, that's right, and it doesn't feel good, does it?
01:08:06To be the one who's the fool, now does it?
01:08:09Yes, yes, Leo, it's your son.
01:08:12Please, you have to choose Leo.
01:08:14Save him, he's too young.
01:08:16Please, no!
01:08:18Since you won't make a choice, I'll make it for you.
01:08:23Ah!
01:08:24Ah!
01:08:24Ah!
01:08:25Leo!
01:08:34Leo, are you all right?
01:08:38Okay.
01:08:38Come here, come here.
01:08:43John?
01:08:48John, are you okay?
01:08:49You need to go to a hospital.
01:09:06Now!
01:09:10What will we find?
01:09:12He's lucky.
01:09:13I thought it's gonna get into this.
01:09:14This is all my fault.
01:09:17If I hadn't asked for revenge, none of this would have happened.
01:09:21You can't blame yourself.
01:09:23You blame Victor.
01:09:28Who's the family of the patient?
01:09:30I am.
01:09:31The patient's in critical condition and needs a family member's signature immediately.
01:09:34I'll sign.
01:09:35I'm sorry.
01:09:38We'll do our best.
01:09:39We were able to remove the bullet from the patient beneath the general warden.
01:09:52Oh, thank you, Doctor.
01:10:01John.
01:10:01I hope to God that you wake up soon.
01:10:10Leo can't be with that father.
01:10:23You gotta eat something.
01:10:24You gotta eat anything all day.
01:10:26I can't eat.
01:10:28John will hate seeing you like this.
01:10:30I'll wait for him to wake up.
01:10:36He's awake?
01:10:41John!
01:10:43John, you're awake!
01:10:45How's Leo?
01:10:47Oh, Leo.
01:10:48Leo's okay.
01:10:50He's a little bit scared, but it's nothing serious.
01:10:53I'm gonna get you and Leo a home.
01:10:56Would you like that?
01:11:00I want to get you and Leo a home.
01:11:03Would you like that?
01:11:05John!
01:11:06John!
01:11:07I have fantastic news.
01:11:10Leo is your son.
01:11:11Here's the paternity papers.
01:11:13I already know that.
01:11:16You knew he was your son?
01:11:19How could you not tell me something so important?
01:11:23I just found out myself, Mom.
01:11:25Leo, let's give them some space, okay?
01:11:36You're okay, right?
01:11:40Well, since you now have a son,
01:11:43why not propose to his mother?
01:11:46I was going to propose until you barged in.
01:11:51Oh.
01:11:55I was going to propose until you barged in.
01:11:59Oh!
01:12:02Well, carry on.
01:12:05Rebecca, it's getting late.
01:12:12I'll take care of John for the night.
01:12:22Caroline,
01:12:23you still haven't answered my question from earlier.
01:12:28I can't.
01:12:29Why?
01:12:30You can see, Leo,
01:12:32all you want.
01:12:33That's your right.
01:12:35But I can't marry you.
01:12:38Should I do something wrong?
01:12:39If I did,
01:12:40just tell me that I can change.
01:12:42There are some things I can forgive.
01:12:46But there are others that I can never forget.
01:12:49John, we've...
01:12:50Mom,
01:12:51why would you accept Dad's proposal?
01:12:54Are you still mad at him?
01:12:56Leo,
01:12:57this is an adult conversation.
01:13:00Mommy can handle this.
01:13:03Grandma will take you back home.
01:13:05Rebecca,
01:13:06do you mind taking Leo back?
01:13:09I need to have a serious talk with John.
01:13:1210 years ago,
01:13:22I left for two reasons.
01:13:27The first reason
01:13:28was that I mistook your mother
01:13:30as the murderer of my parents.
01:13:34And the other reason...
01:13:36Why wouldn't you want to marry me?
01:13:40Your mother told me
01:13:41that Elena was your fiancé.
01:13:45I saw you and Elena
01:13:48in the bedroom together.
01:13:49I knew you had feelings for her.
01:13:54I've never slept with Elena.
01:13:56I've only ever been with you.
01:13:57But I saw the man in the bedroom.
01:13:59It was clearly you.
01:14:02I was planning your proposal
01:14:06at that time.
01:14:08See?
01:14:09Look,
01:14:12you must have seen Victor.
01:14:16He likes to impersonate me.
01:14:20So they've been plotting this
01:14:21since the beginning.
01:14:23I always thought it was you.
01:14:26So,
01:14:28Caroline,
01:14:30will you marry me now?
01:14:34Mom,
01:14:37just say yes.
01:14:38I'll be right back.
01:15:08Mom and Dad, Merry Christmas.
01:15:38Mom and Dad, Merry Christmas.

The beginning of the story says her parents died 5 years ago. But in all the flash backs from 10 years ago she talked about her parents' death. The time line doesn't work. If, in the beginning, she said her parents died 10 years ago it would make sense.
