Heavy rains continue to batter north India, submerging roads, washing away houses, and pushing the Yamuna above the danger mark. Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand face serial flash floods from cloudbursts, leaving several dead and many missing. Punjab reports 29 deaths and thousands displaced in its “worst flood in recent history.” Delhi and NCR also remain on edge, with floodwaters entering homes and officials warning of fresh threats as barrages release water.

00:05cloudbursts that are being reported literally every second day, Gurugran that was heavily
00:10waterlogged, leaving several commuters stranded and vehicles stuck. The downpour led to complete
00:15road submersion, disrupting traffic and public movement in several of these areas. The continuous
00:22rain for the last 10 hours in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh is now becoming a problem for the people.
00:28Water logging from the city to the medical college campus that has been reported the
00:33weather department has predicted rains for the next 24 hours. Delhi is reeling under acute
00:39rain, causing widespread disruptions. Yamuna River has crossed the danger mark in Delhi
00:44and low-lying areas that are at flood risk. Uttarakhand has been witnessing torrential
00:49rains with landslides leading to closure of key roads. The Uttarakhand government on Monday
00:54postponed the Char Dham Yatra and Hemkund Saheb Yatra till the 5th of September
00:58in view of inclement weather in the state. Punjab is reeling under severe floods due to swollen
01:04Satluj, Bayas and Ravi rivers and seasonal rivulets amid heavy rains in their catchment areas in
01:11Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
01:15More than 1300 houses were partially damaged as well as 300 houses were completely collapsed. There
01:23are more than 260 roads which have been blocked due to heavy rains followed by landslides and
01:30flash floods as well as 6 tactical highways are also blocked. The Uttarakhand government along with the Uttarakhand
01:38management authorities have been monitoring the situation. The SDRF, NDRF and VRO personnel
01:45along with their machinery are on standby in any case of the landslide event or flash flood. The forces
01:52will move to the ground zero and will start working. However, people are praying as well as
02:00everyone is expecting that the rainfall should stop because it's been very hard days for the people of Uttarakhand
02:08living in the hill areas as well as the tourists who are flocking to Uttarakhand in the rainy season.
02:14The IMD has also cautioned the travelers and people to refrain from going to the landslide prone areas and do not travel to the
02:22mountainous regions specifically during the rainfall period because it may cause the life-threatening situation.
02:29The weather department is continuously monitoring the situation and the next 24 hours are going to be very brutal for the state.
