00:00Bristol City returned to winning ways, finally in the Championship,
00:04with an emphatic 4-2 victory over Hull City at Ashton Gate.
00:10The Robins had actually gone behind very early in the match through Joe Gellhart,
00:14but they were soon back on track, and four goals to the good.
00:194-1, of course, with the score at that point, including two from Emile at Rhys Jacobson.
00:23Hull City did pull one back right at the end to make it 4-2
00:26and make the scoreline a little bit more respectable from their point of view.
00:30But ultimately, it was Bristol City's day from the get-go,
00:34even though the Tigers had taken an early lead.
00:38Certainly, from a Bristol City point of view,
00:40they would have been a little bit frustrated with some of the results
00:42that they have had so far this season.
00:44Of course, they started off the campaign in such fine form,
00:47a way to Sheckill United at Bramall Lane, winning 4-1 against the side
00:52they'd played in the playoffs last season, losing 6-0 on aggregate,
00:56and yet they went there and won hugely and handsomely.
01:00But then a couple of draws, draws at home to Charlton Athletic,
01:03and a draw away to Derby County.
01:05Left a bit of a frustrating feeling around the place at Ashton Gate.
01:09Gerhard Struber, you could certainly see that in him in his post-match interviews,
01:14given the fact that they had done probably enough to win those games,
01:17but not quite enough, ultimately, in the end.
01:20But this was certainly a return to form for the Robins,
01:24and they'll look to use this result to kick on in the championship.
01:28It's just a shame for them that the international break comes now
01:30and perhaps kills a little bit of momentum that they would have had starting from that win,
01:35but they'll hope that they can still use it somewhat
01:37when their players do return from their international duty in a couple of weeks' time.
01:43And certainly, in terms of what they're expecting from the championship going on,
01:47I think they'll have to, as I mentioned there,
01:48use this result to the best of their ability to try and get more winning results.
01:53Because last season, of course, a bit like some of the draws they've had already this season,
01:57they just weren't quite at it and gave games up when they shouldn't have done.
02:01But anyway, let's hear now from Gerhard Struber to hear his thoughts after the full-time whistle.
02:06I think the football, what we want to see, and especially also our fans.
02:16That response to going down a goal early,
02:18do you feel the team responded exactly how you'd like them to?
02:21Yes, I think this was exactly the reaction, how you should show.
02:25I think every single player was in a really good tension
02:31and was also ready to change the result.
02:36And I think the togetherness, the willingness in this moment was great.
02:40We spoke about him before the game.
02:42Emil Ruiz, a great all-round performance and two goals.
02:44How big is that going to be for him going forward?
02:47Yes, I think this is a really good moment for himself.
02:49I think the last few weeks he showed us always in the games good performances.
02:53But for a striker, I think we should be honest with ourselves.
02:57His scorer moments brings in the end a big self-confidence.
03:02And today, I think this was only a question of time when he scored.
03:07Today, he realised it.
03:08And I think everyone was happy with him and especially he with himself.
03:13The goal scorers might get all the headlines,
03:15but Ross McCrory, two assists, playing on not his natural side.
03:18How important is he to the way you want to play?
03:21I think Ross is super important for this team.
03:24He played a little bit of a different role.
03:27And he is, I think, with his skills,
03:31he gives us a little bit of a different setting,
03:34a different feeling on the game.
03:36And he's so difficult to calculate.
03:42He comes in different angles.
03:44He has a top physical power.
03:46He is a super aggression.
03:48So in more direction, he is for us a very important player.
03:5217 shots in the first half, 29 overall.
03:56Is that just an indication of how you want your team to play?
03:59Attack?
03:59Exactly.
04:00I think the first half show us how we want to play.
04:04The bravery, the style, the vertical branding.
04:08I love that.
04:1029 shots.
04:11We've just spoke about it there.
04:12Do you feel we could have had more goals today even?
04:13Yes, I think this is something where we could speak also critically.
04:17I think in the end, we have four goals for us,
04:20but we should score more.
04:22I think we could do it.
04:25Unfortunately, he conceded twice today,
04:27but Radek Vitek were two vital stops.
04:30How great were those stops?
04:31Yes, I think one more time we could see how important is Radek
04:35and also which profile, which quality he has.
04:39So he was, again, a very important player for us.
