00:00Hello there, good afternoon. It certainly was a wet commute for many of us this morning
00:04and the unsettled weather is here to stay through the afternoon. Multiple Met Office
00:09warnings in force, including a thunderstorm warning across a large portion of England
00:13and Wales, so some quite heavy bursts of rain, some strong gusty winds, even a chance we'll
00:17see some hail and some frequent lightning, which may lead to some impacts and places.
00:22More details around the warning on our website. Much lighter winds across the northern half
00:26of the country, which means rain will linger on for much longer. Once again, we could see some
00:30heavy downpours associated with this. Highs reaching around 22 degrees Celsius, but feeling a lot cooler
00:36in the fresh breeze across the south. Rain will continue to linger across the northeastern half
00:42of the country, eventually pushing into the Northern Isles and then clearing its way into the North Sea.
00:46Still some showers feeding in from the west, but across eastern areas, central parts of England,
00:51drier with some prolonged clear spells, where it may turn a little cooler, feel a little fresher
00:56as we head towards the morning. All eyes towards the south-west though, Devon, Cornwall, southern
01:00parts of Wales, where once again we'll see a secondary band of heavy showers, possible thunderstorms
01:05as we head towards the morning. We need to keep an eye on this band as it moves its way north-eastwards.
01:10Once again, another thunderstorm warning issued here across parts of England and Wales,
01:14pushing its way north-eastwards. Once again, some heavy bursts of rain along with it,
01:19hail, possible frequent lightning. So an unsettled day once again, but we should see
01:23more sunny spells in between these showers, but nevertheless pretty much anywhere could catch
01:27some heavy downpours as we head into tomorrow. Still some strong gusty winds, particularly if
01:31you do catch any heavy showers, but mostly across the south that strong breeze will start to ease
01:36away through Thursday afternoon. Fairly similar temperatures, highs reaching around 20 to 21 degrees
01:41Celsius. If you're not a fan of the unsettled wet weather, well then we do have high pressure
01:47starting to build across the south through Friday and settled, bringing mostly settled conditions,
01:51some dry weather. That's away from the north-west though, it will turn wet and windy for a time
01:55towards the end of the week. But low pressure is never too far away, always waiting in the wings,
02:00ready to bring us some more spells of rain, possibly some strong winds as we head towards
02:05Sunday. But what you might notice over the weekend is that for a time it will turn a little bit warmer,
02:09particularly across the south and south-east as we draw in a southerly flow, bringing in a slightly
02:13warmer plume of air from the near-continent. But it's likely to be offset by more cloud and some heavy
02:19showers. For more details on the upcoming weather, don't forget you can subscribe to our YouTube channel.
