During a press conference alongside Mexican Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente Ramírez on Wednesday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio credited both President Trump and Mexican authorities for the decrease in southern border crossings.

00:00Because of our geography, we will always be neighbors, and that means we will always share common problems, whether they be migration.
00:06The migration numbers today at the U.S. southern border are the lowest they have ever been.
00:11They have ever been.
00:12And that is due, and thanks, and great credit to President Trump for the efforts he's undertaken,
00:17but I think also to the efforts of the authorities here in Mexico.
00:23Today we are formalizing an implementation group.
00:26I know that sounds like a fancy term, but it means a lot.
00:31This is a high-level group that will meet and coordinate on a regular basis to make sure that all the things we are working on,
00:38all the things we have agreed to work on, are happening, are being implemented.
