00:00In the beginning years of Drag Race, all the fans, we were like,
00:03oh, this is going to be the last season.
00:04Like, there's no way they're going to let this show stay on the air.
00:06There's no way.
00:08And then I remember after season one aired, I went to a club called The Ritz
00:11to go see Nina Flowers.
00:14And, like, I had never seen that many people packed into that bar, like, ever.
00:20I thought to myself, I'm going to go down.
00:22There's going to be, like, 12 of us there.
00:24I'm going to give Nina her money.
00:25I couldn't even get into the bar, right?
00:28So there are a lot of us who we knew in our little niche circles
00:31how big Drag Race, how remarkable Drag Race was.
00:33But something about this season and the way it caught on.
00:37This season was massive.
00:38The production value itself in terms of the storytelling,
00:42not just, like, ooh, more budget, but, like,
00:44it seemed like the storytellers and the story producers
00:47stepped their game up.
00:48This is not the first season when an Emmy, actually, my season was.
00:53I'm not saying it's because of me, but we can't prove it wasn't.
