Unidentified miscreants vandalised a renovation plaque bearing the national Ashoka Emblem at the Hazratbal mosque in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, triggering political uproar. The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board chief, Darakshan Andrabi, demanded FIRs against those opposing action over the desecration. The group had broken the plaque, objecting to the emblem’s placement at the shrine.
