Trump 'disappointed' at India for buying Russian oil
US President Donald Trump says on Sept. 5, 2025 he is 'very disappointed' that India has been buying oil from Russia, adding his administration imposed a 50 percent tariff on Indian goods in response. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump stressed he maintains a good relationship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi but voiced disapproval of New Delhi’s energy ties with Moscow.
