Le 12 septembre, l’Église célèbre plusieurs figures marquantes de la foi. En premier lieu, le Saint Nom de Marie, fête mariale instituée au XVIIᵉ siècle pour rappeler la puissance et la douceur de la Mère de Dieu.
Nous honorons aussi Saint Aubert d’Avranches, l’évêque qui lança la construction du Mont-Saint-Michel après l’apparition de l’archange Michel.
En Belgique, le souvenir de Saint Guy de Malonne, abbé et fondateur de monastères, nous rappelle la vitalité de la tradition bénédictine.
Nous nous tournons également vers le bienheureux Apollinaire Franco, missionnaire franciscain martyrisé au Japon en 1622, témoin courageux de la foi.
Enfin, nous rendons hommage à la bienheureuse Marie de Jésus (Émilie d’Oultremont), mystique du XIXᵉ siècle et fondatrice des Sœurs de Marie Réparatrice.

Une journée exceptionnelle qui unit la dévotion mariale et le témoignage de saints et bienheureux à travers l’histoire et les nations.
